Chrissy Teigen shares glimpse of breast lift scars in plunging black dress on ‘rare’ date night with husband John Legend
As a woman who has gone through the journey of breast augmentation and now deciding to remove them, I can relate to Chrissy Teigen’s decision wholeheartedly. Her honesty about her body image journey and the challenges she faces as a mother, wife, and public figure is truly inspiring. It takes courage to admit that one wants to change something about their appearance, but it takes even more strength to acknowledge that change is needed.
On a special occasion last Tuesday, I opted for a bold move by showcasing my scars while stepping out on a rare date night with my partner, the incredible John Legend. For the evening, I chose an alluring plunging ensemble that truly embodied the spirit of our special time together.
The media personality, 38 – who recently revealed their son Miles, six, has Type 1 diabetes – filmed a quick selfie video which was uploaded to her Instagram stories and flashed a glimpse of her breast lift scars.
The star put on a stylish display wearing a sleeveless, black dress that contained a deep, V-neck cut on the front for a sultry flare.
She added a shimmering, golden body chain as an accessory to complete the look, while her hair cascaded gracefully in soft, wavy strands.
Teigen shared with her audience that she and singer John Legend, who is 45 years old and got married in 2013, were looking forward to spending a special, romantic evening together. She mentioned that such occasions are not common but do occur occasionally, saying “Tonight’s date! Not often, but it does happen.”
As the well-dressed artist moved closer, he found himself standing next to his wife, who revealed a scar beneath her right breast.
Chrissy gestured to the camera and said, “Covered up by the body chain,” indicating that it concealed her scar as the brief clip concluded.
For our special evening out, I meticulously crafted my makeup look, emphasizing a subtle elegance. A coat of mascara adorned my eyelashes, while a gentle shadow framed my eyes, adding just the right amount of sophistication.
Her cheeks took on a rosy hue, adding warmth, while her lips were softly colored with a sheer satin nude shade to complete the look.
In early January this year, the mother of four openly disclosed during her interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she had undergone three breast augmentation surgeries in the past.
During the interview, she expressed that it seems unlikely the topic of her breast augmentation will resurface, and people may forget about it.
The Cravings author continued, ‘I’ve had a lift, a put in, a take them out. I don’t like them out.’
In the year 2020, Chrissy openly shared that she underwent her initial breast augmentation at the age of 20 during a conversation with Glamour UK.
She mentioned that she had undergone breast augmentation around her twentieth year. She explained it was primarily to enhance her appearance in swimsuits.
“Initially, I envisioned myself striking a pose, lying flat on my back. However, I wished for my assets to maintain their firmness. Unfortunately, after having children and them filling up with milk, they lose some of their perkiness. Now, I find myself in a predicament.”
Instead, she clarified that the cup size of her breasts remained unchanged. She simply enhanced their shape, making them fuller and firmer.
Initially, my cup held approximately 25% (a quarter) of the volume in a teardrop shape at the base, with the rest filled up to the breast line. However, I’m eager to remove them now. If given the chance, I’d prefer a breast lift to keep things as they are but with a more elevated appearance.
Teigen mentioned, “It’s generally recommended that you swap out [implants] after a decade. However, when considering the risks of surgery, especially with children, I often ponder, ‘I don’t wish to meet my end in surgical complications related to these implants.'”
Shortly after, she took to social media and revealed that she was getting the implants removed.
The celebrity penned, ‘For a long time they’ve treated me wonderfully, yet I’ve grown tired of it all. What I truly yearn for now is to slip into a dress that fits perfectly and recline on my stomach with absolute ease! It’s no small matter!’
“Don’t fret over my state, everything is fine! I’ll still retain my figure, just with fat instead of tissue. After all, that’s what breasts essentially are – an amazing, albeit simple, collection of fat.”
In March of this year, Chrissy casually mentioned her breast lift scar during a photo shoot prior to attending the Vanity Fair Oscar party alongside her husband, John Legend, while wearing a partly see-through dress.
In the Instagram post’s caption, the model wrote to her followers, ‘When the camera light catches your breast augmentation scars.’
On Tuesdays as well, Teigen openly discussed the topic of aging and subtly suggested vision issues through a set of posts on her Instagram stories.
She talked about seeing her therapist after weeks of being busy and traveling, and discussed how she has been painting and sewing more.
She shared that her eyes have been experiencing numerous problems lately, specifically difficulty with clarity and also discomfort due to dryness, which is particularly bothersome during activities such as painting and sewing.
Chrissy mentioned that occasionally when she blinks and reopens her eyes, she perceives sparkles, appearing like tiny silver fragments scattered around, she also shared with her therapist that she believes these are angels.
Each time I blink and see brief flashes of sparkle, it feels as if an angel is observing me.
The television host went on saying, “‘It seems you might need a trip to the hospital or an optometrist for a check-up,’ he suggested.”
“Being so deeply connected with Los Angeles, it feels as if any inconvenience or health issue might just be an angelic intervention.”
Essentially, the message is this: Despite any beliefs or interpretations, it’s crucial not to misconstrue common indicators of aging and vision loss as supernatural phenomena such as angels.
Late last month, Chrissy and her family whisked themselves to France to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics to cheer on Team USA.
Additionally, she recently disclosed that her six-year-old son, Miles, is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She expressed her appreciation towards her fans for their kindness and support.
