Chrissy Teigen recently shared why she decided to talk publicly about using medication to help her lose weight, explaining it followed a difficult miscarriage.
The 39-year-old model explained she decided to share her experience with Ozempic to be honest with her followers, particularly because she was going through a challenging period.
She explained that she wanted her honesty to help people ‘feel a lot better of themselves.’
John Legend’s wife said in an interview with People magazine on Wednesday that she was confident the song would connect with listeners.
She explained that ever since social media became popular, she’s wanted people to realize that life isn’t always as perfect as it appears online.
Chrissy Teigen recently revealed she tried a GLP-1 medication to help with weight loss after experiencing a miscarriage five years ago.
During an appearance on the Self-Conscious podcast on September 18th, she revealed she experienced intense sadness and grief, describing it as feeling deeply depressed by the sight of her body still appearing pregnant after losing the baby.
‘My body was completely stuck,’ she admitted.
I gained a significant amount of weight during my pregnancy, and after losing the baby at 20 weeks, I was left feeling uncomfortable with the extra 40 pounds.
She said she also wants to encourage her children to be honest whenever they feel insecure.
She explained that if her child – whether a daughter or son, like Miles – ever considered something like hair restoration, she’d want them to understand it’s okay to not strive for an impossible ideal of perfection.
‘It’s about being open and honest about what it feels to make you feel better.’
Chrissy Teigen explained that trying to be perfect isn’t worth it, because it ultimately doesn’t make anyone feel good.
Ultimately, no single thing can completely satisfy someone. However, everyone deserves the right to make their own choices about their body and prioritize what makes them feel healthy, safe, and good about themselves.

This follows comments from the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model about her complicated friendship with Meghan Markle and the reason her children don’t play with Markle’s kids.
I believed it would deeply connect with people and help them feel more positive about their families, themselves, and how they look.
She also confessed she’d made a personal commitment to always be open and honest, particularly when using social media.
She mentioned it’s often annoying when people only post the best parts of their lives online and don’t show anything else.
Chrissy Teigen and her husband have four children: Luna, nine, Miles, seven, and younger daughters Esti and Wren. They’ve been married for 12 years.
They also went through a pregnancy loss in 2020 and named their their baby Jack.
