Chrishell Stause exits ‘Selling Sunset’ after 9 seasons: ‘No longer good for my mental health’

Chrishell Stause, a well-known real estate agent and star of the Netflix reality show “Selling Sunset,” is leaving the series after appearing in nine seasons.

Chrishell Stause told Bustle in a recent interview that she’s leaving the popular show, and nothing – not even a lot of money or the show’s producers – could change her mind. The 44-year-old actress and reality star explained she’s reached a point where she no longer needs the income from the show.

She explained that she’s fortunate to have other jobs, as her previous work was negatively affecting her mental well-being.

Travel & Experiences

Outside of her work on “Selling Sunset,” she loves ordering takeout, hanging out with her partner G Flip, and even casually browsing open houses just for enjoyment.

“Selling Sunset” premiered on Netflix in 2019 and follows the women of the Oppenheim Group, a high-end real estate agency located on the Sunset Strip. The show features Chrishell Stause and has chronicled both her career achievements and personal life, including her highly publicized divorce from Justin Hartley, which was finalized in 2021. Since then, Stause has married musician G Flip.

When Chrishell Stause announced she was leaving “Selling Sunset” to Bustle, she talked about problems she had with co-star Emma Hernan and her boyfriend, Blake Davis. She also wasn’t happy with how the show was edited. Netflix declined to comment on her statements, but Stause said she hoped the “Selling” series continued to do well.

I feel positively about the show and am grateful for all the opportunities it’s given me. While I’m disappointed about how my time there ended, I don’t want to dwell on negativity.
