Chris Taylor Reveals New Girlfriend and Balancing Love Life with Dancing On Ice Training

In a recent interview on Thursday, Chris Taylor disclosed that he’s currently involved in a fresh romantic relationship.

34-year-old influencer, known for his stint on Love Island in 2019 with his former girlfriend Maura Higgins, disclosed that he’s currently aiming to date privately.

Chris, the current contestant on Dancing On Ice, shared that his latest dance partner hasn’t watched him on any television show previously, which he found appealing because it meant she had no prior expectations or biases about him.

On the Not My Bagg podcast, he shared that he is currently dating a young woman who hails from Brighton, making her somewhat of an outsider since she doesn’t live nearby.

Fortunately, the woman I’ve been seeing isn’t aware that I’ve appeared on a television show, which means she hasn’t formed any preconceived notions about my personality. I feel incredibly relaxed with her to the point where I can authentically express myself even more than I do on TV.

Chris acknowledges that things are still at a preliminary phase, and he’s not ready to add complexity by announcing their relationship publicly just yet.

He went on to say, “We’re still in the preliminary phases, but I’m unsure if I wish to take on that complexity. I’ve invested significantly of myself into television work – perhaps more than I ought to have. Therefore, I need to reserve some energy for my own well-being.

‘But she’s already seen me [on Dancing On Ice], she saw me last week.’

Chris disclosed that the couple had a luxurious, romantic trip to Bali during the holiday season, which has only made their bond stronger.

As a devoted companion, I spent the festive season in the enchanting locale of Bali with my significant other, only to unintentionally deliver an entire week of discomfort, affectionately referred to as ‘seven straight days of ick.’

As a dedicated follower, let me share my extraordinary tale: I tumbled down the stairs, was battered by an army of mosquitoes, experienced what felt like four heart-stopping panic attacks while we were snorkeling, and endured a case of Bali belly that kept me up all night. Yet, miraculously, we’re still going strong together.

I realized that Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, and since I’m currently immersed in the Dancing on Ice season, I’ll need to come up with something special for that occasion.

In the year 2020, Maura, Chris’s former girlfriend, made an appearance on Dancing On Ice. There were rumors of a romantic involvement between her and her dance partner, Alexander Demetriou, during that time. Since then, Alexander has moved on and remarried.

Previously, he was in a relationship with Arabella Chi on Love Island All Stars the previous year. However, their relationship ended bitterly, and afterwards, he attempted to pursue Molly Smith, who rejected him. In the end, it was Molly and her partner, Tom Clare, who emerged victorious from the show.

During the debut of Love Island’s summer season in June, I was honored to step into hosting duties alongside Amy Hart and Indiyah Polak for The Morning After podcast, and I also had the privilege of joining presenter Maya Jama on the Aftersun panel.

In August, he became a part of the cast on E4’s Celebs Go Dating. He was candid about his previous battles with social anxiety, revealing how it had affected his personal relationships negatively.

The celebrity from Love Island is getting ready to tackle the fifth week of Dancing on Ice alongside the new partner, Robin Johnstone, since Vanessa Bauer had to pull out due to a leg ligament tear during rehearsals for the previous Sunday’s performance.

On Sunday, I found myself gracefully gliding across the ice, side by side with Robin, as we executed our unique spin on the Pokémon Theme. However, our performance took an unexpected turn when we both slipped up, causing us to crash dramatically onto the icy surface. After gathering ourselves, we managed to regain our footing and finish our routine with a flourish. It was definitely not our best day on the ice, but it was an unforgettable experience nonetheless.

The partnership was established following Vanessa’s decision to leave the show, which she announced via an Instagram video, as a result of a severe injury.

The skater shared some disappointing news, stating that they won’t be able to proceed with Dancing on Ice alongside Chris.

I find this quite disheartening. Since last October, I’ve been mentoring Chris, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness his growth in a skill he was previously unfamiliar with – it’s a source of great personal pride for me.

It’s been truly fulfilling for me to observe Chris’ progress, noticeable since October, with each passing week. And, of course, his improvement has been particularly evident since the live shows commenced.

She mentioned that she regrettably experienced a minor mishap during rehearsals for Dancing on Ice the previous week, right before the live performance on Sunday.

Initially, I hadn’t fully comprehended the severity of the situation, but subsequent MRI results revealed that I had sustained a grade three ligament tear as well as a significant grade two sprain injury in another area.

Given my current injury, it’s wiser not to skate. Instead, I’m heeding the guidance provided by these medical experts, ensuring I’m under their capable care.

In an announcement about her recovery plan for her injury, Vanessa mentioned: ‘I’ve found my tolerance for pain questionable lately, as I’ve been skating with considerable discomfort all week without fully realizing the extent of my injury. Consequently, I hadn’t spoken up about it.’

‘It just goes to show that you should listen to your body and try to tune into your body a lot.

I’d rather not aggravate this existing injury any further, so it seems prudent for me to take a break, undergo rehabilitation, and prioritize my overall health – including my mental health – as I find it regrettable that I must step aside due to this situation.

‘But I’m excited to get better and to get back to skating properly every single day.’
