Chris Pratt Was Asked Where His Avengers: Doomsday Chair Was, And He Had An A+ Response
As Avengers: Doomsday commenced filming, enthusiasts were in for a treat with a four-hour live broadcast unveiling over two dozen actors from the upcoming movie. I recall, I live-blogged the entire event. Familiar names like Anthony Mackie and Chris Hemsworth were among those revealed, but others caught us off guard, such as the diverse X-Men cast. Moreover, there were some stars we didn’t anticipate seeing in the film.
Although not all significant characters in the “Avengers: Doomsday” lineup were unveiled during the live stream, some were noticeably missing. Among them was Chris Pratt. When asked about his seat with his name on it by Collider, he humorously suggested that it might have been present, but we simply didn’t catch a glimpse of it. Pratt playfully commented…
I can’t say for certain, but it appeared as though the event occurred at a distance, suggesting that perhaps the camera moved away from it. I’m convinced that it took place, but I’m unsure of the specific details.
It’s important to note that the space was quite large, and keeping tabs on numerous seats wasn’t an easy task. So, if one happened to slip into a corner unnoticed, it wouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise.
To clarify, Chris Pratt was merely joking and did not confirm his role in the film “Avengers: Doomsday”. His chair’s absence suggests that either he isn’t featured in the movie or Marvel intentionally kept his presence a secret. Either way, Pratt is known for keeping spoilers under wraps, unlike certain other MCU actors who are less discreet about their roles.
It was unexpected not to see Chris Pratt’s name in the cast list because, as hinted in the post-credits scene of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” Star-Lord (played by Pratt) was explicitly mentioned as a character set to return. Although Pratt hasn’t given any specifics about when this return will occur, he has confirmed that it is indeed planned for the future. He went on to elaborate…
For followers of mine, I can’t specify exactly when or where they’ll encounter Star-Lord next, but I can assure you that Star-Lord isn’t gone for good. In fact, we made a commitment at the end of Vol. 3 that the iconic Star-Lord will make his comeback, and he will indeed return.
It seems plausible that because they mentioned specifically that Star-Lord would reappear, someone must have had a plan for his return. The inclusion of this detail suggests not only will Star-Lord make a comeback, but the other Guardians of the Galaxy likely won’t be present. Marvel Studios deemed it necessary to clarify this point.
It’s evident that some strategy is in place for Star-Lord’s return. There’s a possibility he could make an appearance in “Doomsday” or perhaps in the sequel “Avengers: Secret Wars”. His comeback might be delayed until everything calms down, but it looks like the iconic character, Star-Lord, will grace our screens again at some point.
