Chris Pratt Reveals What People Who Hated Star-Lord Told Him

Chris Pratt has responded to the negative reactions fans have had towards his character, Star-Lord, because of a critical error in Avengers: Infinity War. In the 2018 film, Peter Quill disrupted the heroes’ plan to corner Thanos by attacking him after discovering Gamora’s death. Chris Pratt shared that some upset fans would stop him and blame Star-Lord for the heroes’ failures. He explained that he always told them he wasn’t responsible. He even joked that if he hadn’t made the choices he did, fans would have gotten a much shorter movie – only about 30 minutes long – instead of the two full films, Infinity War and Endgame.

Honestly, when they finally revealed the villain, it just didn’t feel like something you’d see in a movie – it felt…off, you know? And now, thinking back on it, I really feel for Peter Quill. I’m starting to realize how much that whole situation impacted him, and the consequences are pretty heavy when you consider it.

The actor from Mercy added, ‘I’m still glad it happened, even though I didn’t realize at the time how memorable it would become.’
