Chris Pratt reveals the strange gift his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger bought him for Christmas

Chris Pratt shared a story about the unusual Christmas gift he got from his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 46-year-old actor and Katherine, 35, tied the knot in 2019, after meeting at a Hollywood church the year before. They now have three children together.

On Friday’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, Chris explained that Arnold Schwarzenegger shows affection by giving extravagant gifts.

We had a large painting, six by eight feet, that showed our three children with their father dressed as Santa Claus.

This portrait is absolutely stunning – incredibly realistic and quite large! It was a very kind gift, though we’re still figuring out where to display it for the coming months.

Joined on the sofa by Dawn French, she joked: ‘You can’t regift that really, can you.’

Since then, the Jurassic World actor and Katherine have had three children: daughters Lyla, age five, and Eloise, age three, and a son named Ford, who is one year old.

He also has Jack, 13, with his ex with Anna Faris.

There was talk that Katherine’s mother, Maria Shriver, brought the couple together, but Chris has clarified how they actually met.

I was so surprised when I heard him say that on Fox & Friends with Steve Doocy! He actually corrected something that was said – it really took me aback, but I loved that he spoke his mind.

I first met my wife at a church in Hollywood. I glanced over and saw her, and even though you’re not supposed to notice people like that in church, I couldn’t help but think she was very attractive.

I was picking up my son, Jack, from his activity when we ran into Katherine. That’s how we all met, and things developed from there.

Chris went on to speak about his new AI thriller Mercy, set to hit UK cinemas January 23.

The story takes place in the not-too-distant future, and the artificial intelligence depicted feels surprisingly realistic. The entire narrative unfolds in 90 minutes, mirroring real time.

This movie is fast-paced and completely draws you in, keeping you thrilled from beginning to end. It’s fantastic, and audiences have loved it.

When asked if an AI could have played Judge Maddox, he said everyone involved strongly opposed the idea, and he didn’t think it would have been successful. While he appreciates and uses AI frequently, he admitted that the idea of AI actors as a parent makes him uneasy, but he also finds it exciting.

I was so excited to see Chris Pratt on Graham Norton! He was sharing the couch with some amazing people too – Cynthia Erivo, Rob Beckett, and Jack Savoretti. It was a fantastic lineup!

The actor from Wicked, who is performing all 23 roles in a new stage adaptation of Dracula, described the experience as ‘absolutely crazy.’ He compared it to Kip Williams’ production of The Picture of Dorian Gray, but said it’s even more intense.

Memorizing the script was a fun challenge, especially with the different accents and the combination of live performance and filmed scenes. It really made you think!

Dawn French is excited about her new BBC series, Can You Keep a Secret?, calling it a unique blend of comedy and suspense. She explained that while she often receives sitcom offers, she wasn’t initially interested. ‘Truly good sitcoms are hard to find,’ she said, ‘but this one is exceptional.’

I was chatting with Rob recently about his latest adventures with Romesh Ranganathan! They’ve been diving into some really fun worlds – everything from the high-energy world of winter Olympic sports to the classic world of Shakespeare. It’s been fascinating to hear about their experiences!

He admitted that performing at the Globe Theatre was scary. The atmosphere was unlike anything he’d experienced before, but they still put on a decent show.

Jack will sing “We Will Always Be The Way We Were” live on air, then sit down with Norton for a conversation.
