Chris Pratt Faces Backlash for Snubbing Ex-Wife Anna Faris on Mother’s Day

Chris Pratt has once again upset fans by failing to acknowledge ex-wife Anna Faris on Mother’s Day.

For 10 years between 2009 and 2018, a 45-year-old Marvel actor was married to a 48-year-old comedic actress. They have a 12-year-old son named Jack together.

Currently, he is wedded to the 35-year-old children’s book writer, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Together they have a four-year-old daughter named Lyla, a two-year-old daughter named Eloise, and a six-month-old son named Ford.

On Sunday, he posted on Instagram to honor Katherine, saying in his caption, ‘I wonder how moms manage it? Honestly, it’s as if they’re running a circus, a hospital, and a top-tier restaurant all at the same time. Our children are the lucky ones, and so am I. We adore you. Happy Mother’s Day, Leader!’

however, his supporters promptly questioned him for overlooking Faris, as one supporter put it, “Why isn’t there a nod to the mother of your firstborn child??

Another person wrote, ‘Anna Faris is a mother too.’ 

It was suggested that you should make sure to give credit to the mother of your first child, even if your relationship is strained or non-existent. For the sake of your child, it’s important to maintain a peaceful co-parenting environment.

Instead, he inquired, “What happened with your other child’s mother from back then? Did you decide to step aside from fatherhood during that period?

‘And where’s the photo with the mother of your first child?’ a social media user demanded to know.

It appears someone made the following comment: ‘I believe there’s another woman who is the mother of one of your children, a child it seems you may not have shown much affection towards.’

DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for Pratt for comment. 

Pratt has similarly posted previous Mother’s Day tributes without mention of Faris.

2024 saw him post an online message that read: “Warm greetings to all mothers on this special day! My heartfelt appreciation goes to my mom, Kathy, who consistently exceeded expectations with her love, understanding, wit, and happiness as a mother.

Additionally, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my cherished Katherine. Watching you nurture Lyla, Eloise, and Jack as a mother and a stepmother, respectively, fills me with admiration and love each passing day.

Not all were upset by his post, however, as many joined the comments to defend the father-of-four.

Some individuals find it strange to believe that Chris should honor his ex-wife in such a way. It might be time for them to broaden their perspectives!

A different individual added, “Each year, some women who are single mothers and certain individuals often referred to as ‘Karens,’ who may not have much excitement in their lives, take note of Mother’s Day on their calendar. Their reason? To leave comments under Chris Pratt’s social media post.

In 2021, Chris caused a stir by publicly thanking Schwarzenegger for delivering a “beautiful, healthy daughter.” Many fans perceived this statement as a subtle jab at Anna, who had given birth prematurely in 2014.

The next year, he expressed to Men’s Health that he shed tears over the criticism and deemed it unfortunate because one day, his son might come across those remarks.
