Chris Pratt confirms return to much-loved character: “Coming soon!”

A popular character portrayed by Chris Pratt will see him return to the screen, with the actor confirming this upcoming event. He hinted at its imminent arrival by saying it’s “on its way.

Known for his performances in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Jurassic World,” and “Parks and Recreation,” this actor boasts a substantial body of work from the past ten years, but we won’t see him reprising his roles as Star-Lord, Owen Grady, or Andy Dwyer anytime soon.

Instead, Pratt will once again lend his voice for the much-loved character Garfield in the upcoming sequel to “The Garfield Movie”. He announced this exciting news on Instagram by stating: “Your favorite feline friend is returning… ‘Garfield 2’ coming soon!

In a fun twist, a video alongside the post featured the title “Garfield 2” emblazoned on a pizza, and Chris Pratt, looking directly at the camera, jokingly remarked: “Pizza’s here. Hang on, who called for this delivery? You did.

In the initial movie, featuring an impressive ensemble of voices like Samuel L. Jackson and Hannah Waddingham, we find Garfield teaming up once more with his estranged dad to undertake a thrilling journey filled with danger.

In his upcoming project, Pratt will once again play the role of the pasta-loving feline character. Interestingly, he has recently collaborated with the directors of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame”, The Russo Brothers, for a sci-fi action movie titled “The Electric State”. This film is an adaptation from Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 graphic novel.

In an alternate reality, I find myself amidst the ruins of a world torn apart by a devastating conflict between mankind and machines. As a fan, I’m thrilled to join Millie Bobby Brown on this journey, as she navigates through this post-apocalyptic landscape. Her character, Michelle, is on a quest to reconnect with her long-lost brother, all while interacting with a remarkable robot companion.

Pratt, who portrays smuggler John D Keats, earlier pointed out that his character has some resemblance to Star-Lord. He stated: “Both characters hail from the same period, which creates a parallel in terms of nostalgia for an era that’s now past.

As a gamer, it’s clear that Star-Lord (Peter Quill) is loaded with ’80s pop culture references, stuff that shaped him before he blasted off from Earth at 13. Same goes for Keats, both of them being products of the same era, there’s a certain similarity between them in that sense.

The next film following “The Garfield Movie” hasn’t been given a release date yet, but you can currently watch “The Electric State” on Netflix.

The latest print edition of Digital Spy is available! You can purchase the “Oasis – Live in ’25” issue from newsstands or online, currently selling for only £8.99.
