Chris Hughes Breaks Down: Accused of Being a ‘Game Player’ in CBB House
In simpler terms, Chris Hughes from Celebrity Big Brother became emotional when others labeled him as manipulative following the criticism he received for what seemed uncomfortable to many, regarding his friendship with JoJo Siwa.
32-year-old ex-Love Island star Chris and 21-year-old American dancer have sparked speculation about their relationship due to their close bond. Chris has referred to her as his ‘girlfriend,’ yet JoJo is currently in a committed relationship, leading viewers to label Chris’s actions as deceitful.
24-year-old Ella Rae Wise and 49-year-old Angellica Bell, both renowned personalities, have joined the ranks of those offering criticism towards Chris. The accumulated feedback ultimately became too overwhelming for him, leading to a heartfelt breakdown in the Diary Room on Monday’s episode as seen in an exclusive sneak peek.
He wept, saying, “‘Here I am, simply being myself, navigating my way through life, detesting the very notion of toxicity and unpleasantness as much as I despise harmful environments.’
Before adding: ‘It just brings you down.’
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but express my concerns over Chris’ actions towards the youthful JoJo. His behavior, particularly his offer to “have her babies,” has sparked a wave of criticism, being labeled as “creepy” and “unusual.

On Sunday, Chris’ brother Ben countered the claims of ‘manipulation’ and asserted that he believes Chris will definitely maintain friendship with JoJo after departing from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
On Sunday’s Late & Live program, Ben joined other celebrity relatives who called in, promptly defending his cherished brother when the topic arose.
He confirmed that Chris and JoJo will continue being friends, adding that their friendship seems to have made the other housemates feel somewhat threatened, a trend that’s becoming more noticeable.
Throughout our discussions, it’s been clear that they share a humor and enthusiasm reminiscent of Chris. Tonight’s episode saw them echoing the phrases I’ve used in the Diary Room, which leads me to believe their friendship will endure.
As a loyal follower, I’d rephrase that as follows: I believe Chris should carry himself with pride and keep being authentic, for Tiffany might perceive his actions differently, but I don’t think it’s an act.
Previously within the show, Angellica criticized Chris yet again during their recent assignment – this occurred several days following her reveal of his strategy.
When queried about who the most prominent participant was, she promptly chose the previous Love Island star, stating: “I’ll pick Chris, as he has experience with reality shows, is adept at reading situations and people, and knows how to handle a crowd.
She previously speculated that he may be playing a strategic game in order to win the series.

Speaking about the karaoke night, she commented: ‘It’s wonderful when we get chances to relax and have fun together.’
As the game progresses, my focus intensifies, almost as if I’m losing sight of the fact that it’s just a game. It’s not because anyone is unkind, but rather, the stakes seem to be growing higher.
She believes Chris is quite intelligent; he has a knack for making friends and exerting influence. He simply seems to know the right actions or words to use. To put it another way, she thinks he’s smart at navigating social situations effectively.
In the most recent episode, Chris supported statements suggesting that Ella felt jealous towards JoJo during the show’s recent chaotic shopping challenge.
Reality TV personality Ella, aged 24, appears to be feeling somewhat slighted due to the burgeoning friendship between her competitors in the house, which seems to be causing a gradual increase in tension.
In this shared living situation that formed a sort of family, Chris criticized Ella, prompting viewers to label her as deceitful due to her selection of JoJo as her least favorite housemate and the individual perceived as playing the game most strategically.
In the privacy of his private journal, a heated ex-contestant from Love Island didn’t hesitate to defend his latest ally. He pointed fingers at Ella, implying she was envious of the harmony between him and JoJo.
He mentioned: ‘There could be some jealousy towards JoJo as she doesn’t seem fond of him. Furthermore, she often has something to add to the discussion and dislikes being left out of conversations.’

Chris had previously criticized Ella during their task, when he advised her to “think more” while they were learning a dance routine in Big Brother’s daycare area for toddlers.
In time, some fans argued that Ella was revealing her real personality when she picked JoJo as her least favorite housemate, an act which left Dance Moms’ star taken aback, since she thought they were friends.
Ella is so two-faced because she’s nice to Jojo but talks badly about her when she thinks she isn’t listening.
Ella appears to be inconsistent. Yesterday, she mentioned she wasn’t fond of Jojo, but tonight, they seem to be interacting amicably.
