Chris Hemsworth announced some good news about the next Extraction movie! Filming for the highly anticipated third film in the series has officially started.
The first film premiered on the streaming platform in 2020 and featured Australian mercenary Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) attempting to rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord. However, due to several untrustworthy individuals involved, the mission quickly becomes dangerous.
Tyler was back in action in 2023’s Extraction 2, taking on another dangerous mission: rescuing a crime lord’s family. Because of his personal connections to the family, Tyler infiltrates a Georgia prison to free them, which leads to intense and violent fallout as everyone’s allegiances are tested.
Following the events of the second film, Tyler and his teammate Nik Khan receive their next assignment from the enigmatic man (Idris Elba) they met previously. After a three-year hiatus, fans will soon be able to continue the adventure, as a third movie is now confirmed.
The main actor revealed the exciting news today by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram with the message: “E3 here we go!”
