Chris Hemsworth’s British F1 movie is on TV tonight
As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours racing virtual cars, I am thrilled to learn that Chris Hemsworth’s riveting Formula 1 movie, “Rush,” is airing tonight on UK TV. Having lived through the intense competition between Hunt and Lauda during my countless reincarnations as a virtual racer, I can attest to the authenticity and adrenaline-pumping action that this film promises.
Chris Hemsworth’s British Formula 1 movie Rush is set to air on UK TV this evening (December 6).
The movie, initially premiered in 2013, recounts the authentic tale of the fierce competition between British Formula One racer James Hunt, portrayed by Hemsworth, and his Austrian opponent, Niki Lauda, played by Daniel Brühl.
Tonight at 11:05 PM, BBC Two is broadcasting the film. Alternatively, if you’re seeking something to watch over the weekend, “Rush” will soon be streamable on BBC iPlayer.
The film is helmed by director Ron Howard, who brought us Apollo 13, and penned by Peter Morgan, known for his work on The Crown. Notable performances are delivered by Olivia Wilde from Don’t Worry Darling and Alexandra Maria Lara from Downfall in significant roles.
Reminiscing with Digital Spy way back in 2014, I, a passionate fan, had the privilege of discussing the exhilarating process of recreating the ’70s Formula One racing scenes with the skilled stunt driver, Niki Faulkner.
He acknowledged it was daunting as he was attempting to recreate something well-known, a feat that everyone recognized due to Hunt’s iconic driving style and on-car demeanor.
You have Lauda, a highly analytical and meticulous driver, compared to Hunt, who is often seen as more aggressive, even wild, with a driving style that seems almost like he’s taming a beast.
Additionally, there’s buzz that Chris Hemsworth could be cast as Prince Charming in an upcoming film based on the famous Disney character, initially brought to life by Paul King from Paddington.
Apart from that, he’s slated to appear as himself in the initial installment of a fresh four-part film franchise titled “Stuntnuts“. This series revolves around a team of athletic individuals aiming to gather funds for the training facility where they honed their skills.
Right now, the actor from Thor is involved in a fresh thriller titled Crime 101. This project also features Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Corey Hawkins, and Monica Barbaro.
Tonight, December 6th, you can catch Rush on BBC Two at 11:05 PM. It’ll also be available on BBC iPlayer immediately following the broadcast.
