Chris Hemsworth is known as one of the hunkiest of all Hollywood stars.

But few silver screen giants have had a spider named after them.

Currently, the actor who portrays Thor, standing at 191 centimeters tall, can proudly lay claim to an exceptional distinction following the Australian Reptile Park‘s decision to christen a recently discovered giant specimen as “The Hemsworth.

A dangerous funnel-web spider, known as one of the world’s most venomous, was delivered to a drop-off facility in Newcastle, as stated in a press release on Tuesday.

According to Emma Teni, the spider was remarkably large compared to others, resembling Chris Hemsworth and his siblings as they stand above the typical person.

Initially, we assumed he must be a girl due to his large size. However, on further examination, it turns out he’s actually a male.

The particularly large specimen, recognized as one of the world’s most venomous spiders, was a staggering 9.2 centimeters in size. This makes it the biggest spider ever given to our local park situated along the Central Coast.

‘”Hemsworth” will be a part of the park’s anti-venom program’, Teni said.

The park’s announcement explains that a spider’s fangs have sufficient strength to puncture a human fingernail.

As an ardent enthusiast, I hail from Down Under where I proudly call funnel-web spiders my fellow residents. Known for their penchant for secluded spots, they can often be found lurking in the cool, moist corners of our gardens or tucked away in sheds – a testament to their love for humid hideaways.

Funnel-webs can kill a human within 15 minutes.

It comes after Elsa Pataky revealed how husband Chris persuaded her to move to Australia.

In a simple rephrasing: The 48-year-old Spanish actress resides in Byron Bay alongside her partner Chris (aged 41) and their family of five – their 12-year-old daughter India and the 10-year-old twins, Sasha and Tristan.

However, Elsa, hailing from Madrid, revealed that there was a particular requirement she stipulated before she decided to relocate nearly a decade ago and establish herself in Australia.

In conversation with The Courier Mail, Elsa disclosed that she expressed to Chris her condition for relocating to Australia: they must reside on a vast rural property allowing her to keep horses.

She disclosed, “That arrangement was with Chris. I made it clear that I intended to relocate to Australia, but what I truly desired was to reside on a rural property, a farm, with horses – something he was well aware of.

Fortunately for Elsa, her cherished aspiration became reality as they now reside in an expansive eight-bedroom mansion worth $30 million, nestled over a vast 4.2 hectares in the picturesque area of Broken Head.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I gladly share a heartfelt peek into my personal journey with the esteemed Hollywood luminary, Chris. We’ve uncovered our own unique formula for maintaining marital bliss amidst the various trials we’ve encountered together.

She mentioned that while we all share the idealized vision of a harmonious, loving marriage, what often goes unrecognized is just how much effort it truly requires.

‘Despite the numerous hurdles, there’s a unique beauty in overcoming these challenges together, discovering more about ourselves and each other as time passes, witnessing our evolution, and adapting to one another.’

‘A marriage may seem flawless on the surface, but they all require effort and have their own challenges.’

Elsa and Chris got married only ten months following their initial meeting, and they’ll commemorate 14 years of wedlock on December 22nd. However, it was admitted that they seldom recall their wedding anniversary.

In a sudden, spontaneous wedding ceremony during their vacation in Australia, held in December 2010, this stylish duo tied the knot, having only publicly acknowledged their relationship just three months prior to that special day.
