While Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky usually travel frequently, they’ve been spending the holidays at home recently.
On Tuesday, the famous couple offered fans a peek into their life at home, sharing a photo of themselves wrapped in stylish blankets on the deck of their impressive $50 million Byron Bay mansion.
The 42-year-old action movie star and his 49-year-old actress wife were wrapped in blankets designed by artist Otis Hope Carey.
The couple appeared relaxed and happy, playfully snuggling together while wrapped in a bright, colourful throw, all with the famous infinity pool as a backdrop.
In his caption, Chris described the throws as ‘the world’s comfiest of blankets.’
Even though recent photos showed the house needing some work, it looked absolutely beautiful with the sunset as a backdrop.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen it all, and sometimes even the most stunning homes need a little TLC! Recently, Daily Mail obtained some photos of the exterior of a gorgeous estate, and it looks like a bit of moss is starting to grow on the walls. It’s a natural thing that happens, especially with beautiful, established properties, but it’s definitely something the owners will want to address to keep things looking their best.
The house, despite its luxury, appears surprisingly worn, with visible dirt and grime on many surfaces. Fallen leaves are scattered around the walls and outside areas.
Some of the metal parts on the mansion are starting to rust, and this, along with other signs of wear and tear, is making the outside look aged.
Faint lines around the railings and fixtures show how the ocean air is affecting the large estate.
These photos offer a rare look inside a famous Australian home, revealing that even luxurious mansions aren’t immune to wear and tear.
Although the property remains remarkably large and well-designed, it’s definitely showing signs of wear and tear from the weather.
Chris and his wife prefer raising their children – daughter India and twins Sasha and Tristan – in the more relaxed atmosphere of Byron Bay.
The couple completed the mansion in 2021, and it has skyrocketed in price since.

It comes after the actors rang in 2026 on home turf alongside Chris’ brother Liam Hemsworth.
Celebrities rang in the New Year on a lavish yacht in Sydney Harbour, enjoying a front-row seat to the spectacular fireworks show.
Chris and Elsa appeared deeply in love in a new set of Instagram photos, showing them cozying up together on the front of a boat with a beautiful harbor view in the background.
Elsa looked stunning in a close-fitting green crochet dress. The dress accentuated her figure and featured a stylish cut-out at the waist.
Chris kept things casual in a white tank top under a black shirt worn with matching trousers.
The effortlessly cool couple were joined by Liam, 35, who struck a pose in an all-black ensemble.
