The upcoming romantic comedy starring Chris Evans, Dakota Johnson, and Pedro Pascal, titled “Materialists“, has officially announced its release date.
Under the guidance of the “Past Lives” director, Celine Song, moviegoers can expect to see this film in theaters on June 13, courtesy of A24. Internationally, Sony Pictures will manage the distribution, suggesting a simultaneous release in the UK on the same day.
The movie takes place in New York City and focuses on its high-society figures, all connected through Dakota Johnson’s character, Lucy – a matchmaker who commands high fees.

Regrettably, matters become intricate for her as she finds herself entangled in a “troublesome love situation” involving a prosperous individual and a struggling performer who also works as a waiter.
In addition to the images of Johnson and Pascal featured in this piece, you’ll find additional shots of the pair along with Evans right here. With the movie set to hit theaters just three months from now, let’s keep our fingers crossed for a trailer to surface soon, giving us a clearer glimpse into this upcoming film.

Previously, Johnson played the lead role in the cinematic disappointment, “Madame Web,” which was a superhero movie derived from a character associated with Spider-Man.
Not long after its debut, she acknowledged that she wasn’t taken aback by how things turned out.
She clarified to Bustle that the process of producing movies has become extremely challenging, and what worries her is the increasing trend where even small-scale productions are being controlled by committees instead of individuals. This approach, she believes, does not foster creativity or artistic growth as it should.
Movies are created by a filmmaker along with a creative group. Art cannot be fabricated using statistics and formulas. For quite some time, I’ve felt that audiences are exceptionally intelligent, but it seems executives have begun doubting this. However, audiences will always have the ability to detect insincerity.
Materialists will be released in cinemas on June 13.
