Chloe Madeley, 38, reveals she ‘doesn’t believe in marriage’ anymore amid divorce from ex James Haskell

Chloe Madeley has shared that she’s reconsidered her views on marriage following her divorce from James Haskell, stating she no longer believes in it.

The couple, a 38-year-old personal trainer and a 40-year-old former rugby player, split in 2023 after being married for five years. They share a three-year-old daughter named Bodhi.

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan’s daughter shared a personal story during a question-and-answer session on Instagram on Monday.

A fan asked: ‘Do you still believe in love/marriage after going through a divorce?’

She confessed she’s in love, but not ready for marriage – and it’s too soon to say if that will ever change. She also revealed that she and James are still legally married, as their divorce isn’t finalized yet.

James, now a tech-house DJ, has previously shared that his past struggles with alcohol played a role in the end of his marriage to Chloe.

I remember him saying last summer that if he’d dedicated as much energy to his marriage as he did to Guinness, he believes things would be different now – that they wouldn’t have gotten divorced. It really struck me how openly he admitted that, looking back.

He’s good friends with Mike Tindall, who co-hosts the podcast ‘The Good, The Bad and The Rugby’ and is married to Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara.

James shared at the Pub in the Park festival in west London that he and Chloe are now on much better terms.

He told Richard Eden of the Daily Mail that while things didn’t work out as planned, he feels a lot of love for his daughters and believes raising them is a partnership.

He emphasized that when a marriage ends, especially with children involved, the focus should be on the well-being of the kids. He and Chloe work together really well as co-parents.

‘Our priority is always Bodhi.’

He said he is now single after dating advertising executive Helen Barclay at the start of the year.

‘I don’t really date,’ he said.

Right now, my main concern is saying goodbye to my dad, taking care of work, and being a good father – that’s what’s most important to me. I’m doing well and don’t need any help at the moment.

Since Chloe and James broke up, James has reportedly dated two women: Sara McLean, a star from Big Brother, and Helen. Chloe, however, has remained single.

I spotted James and Sara looking absolutely lovely together at the Cheltenham Festival last month! They were holding hands as they went to enjoy the races on the second day – so sweet! It’s always fun to see couples enjoying a day out like that.

Sara, known for her appearances in beauty pageants and reality television, has a well-known dating history that includes several famous athletes and personalities. She’s previously been linked to US soccer star Tim Howard, rugby player Ben Cohen, cricket icon Shane Warne, and reality TV star Mario Falcone.

In January, James was rumored to be dating Helen, a mother of two, who looked very similar to his ex, Chloe.

However, it seems the relationship ended, as James was recently seen with Sara at a horse racing event, suggesting they are now a couple.

Chloe, his former wife, has shared that he’s been dating again, but they’ve managed to maintain a good relationship while co-parenting their children.

Sara, a beauty queen and reality TV star known from her appearances as Miss Edinburgh and on Big Brother, surprised her fellow contestants by emotionally singing the national anthem, followed by a passionate speech defending the royal family.
