Chloe Grace Moretz makes rare comment on her wedding to Kate Harrison

Chloë Grace Moretz made a rare remark about her recent wedding to Kate Harrison on Monday.

The 28-year-old actress described the wedding as ‘dreamy’ during an appearance on the Today show while discussing her recent work.

She started talking about it while thinking about how her serious, dramatic roles contrasted with her genuinely joyful life outside of work.

Chloë explained that she’d been busy with a film called ‘The Edge of Normal’ she shot this summer, followed by rehearsals for her off-Broadway play, ‘Caroline,’ which is a serious production. On top of that, she also had her wedding to plan and enjoy, which she described as dreamy.

‘I think it’s such a funny juxtaposition of being an actor… we’re going and playing these dark characters, then we’re going and having the most monumental moments of our life happen,’ she reflected.

She added, ‘It was a wonderful break and a nice juxtaposition, for sure.’

The Kick-Ass star and model, 34, quietly tied the knot over Labor Day weekend.

The pair, who began in 2018, announced their engagement on January 1, 2025.

On New Year’s Day, Chloë, who was once a child actor, posted a series of photos online. One of the pictures showed her and another woman both wearing identical diamond rings.

Before their wedding, she shared with Vogue how she and her wife-to-be were planning to make the celebration uniquely their own.

She explained that a key part of the wedding was sharing the things she and Kate enjoy with their guests.

We’ve got a lot of fun activities planned, including fishing, horseback riding, and poker. Kate even made a custom poker mat, so we’re really focusing on that. The next day, we’re planning to do some line dancing and more.

Both brides wore outfits from Louis Vuitton on their wedding days, including different looks for the ceremony and the reception.

Chloë went in an unexpected direction, making a statement in a blue gown inspired by Old Hollywood.

‘I honestly don’t even know if words can put together how I feel,’ she admitted.

I first envisioned the color blue for my wedding at the Academy Gala, while wearing a blue leather dress with LV. I immediately discussed the idea with my stylist, Nell, and thought it could be a beautiful choice for my wedding.

And the performer said she never saw herself as a ‘white dress bride.’

She described the unusual color as feeling perfectly ‘her.’ She’d decided she wanted to go against tradition and not wear white, aiming for something different, and she felt the color achieved that.

Chloë and her partner have generally preferred to keep their relationship private. After being together for seven years, she shared that what means the most to her is their ongoing commitment to support and choose each other, day after day.
