ChillyRoom has begun open beta testing for their charming new fairy RPG, Tavern Tale, currently available on Android in countries including the US, UK, India, and Malaysia. You can pre-register for the game now, with a planned release date of June 27, 2026, according to the App Store.

Tavern Tale is an independent action role-playing game that combines stunning 3D fantasy graphics with the challenging, unpredictable nature of roguelike adventures. The game takes place in a world trapped inside a mysterious cube by a wicked witch, but you’ll find refuge in a warm and welcoming tavern built by the dwarf Hank and his companions, offering a safe haven from the witch’s creatures.

Assemble a team of charming characters – like Snow, Kelly, and Master Otto – each with unique abilities, items, and ways to improve. It’s a lot of fun experimenting with different combinations, and every playthrough feels fresh and unpredictable. Plus, the game’s art style is fantastic!
What’s really exciting is that every corner of the game – from dungeons to forest paths – seems to have its own little story to tell. I’m eager to uncover those stories while getting to know the interesting characters, wandering through the forests, and building relationships with my companions. With over 30 heroes to choose from, 8 different magic styles, charming artwork, and more than 200 spells, this game looks like it has a lot to offer.
Tavern Tale is currently in open beta for Android users in certain countries. You can download it now on the Google Play Store. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can pre-register for the game on the App Store. According to the App Store listing, the full game is expected to launch on June 27, 2026.
