Child Star’s Jaw-Dropping Transformation
In a more recent public outing, a child actor popular in the ’80s embodied the essence of Hollywood elegance at the age of 48.
At only two years old, she started her acting career, eventually gaining nationwide recognition when she turned seven, as she took on the leading role in an NBC sitcom in 1984.
In the ’90s, she made appearances as a guest star on numerous shows including Friends. Later, she secured a main role in a popular teen series that aired during the early 2000s.
A scant while past, a series that catapulted her to stardom during the ’80s was among numerous timeless sitcoms brought back to life – featuring her once more in the leading role.
This week, she went to a unique showing of a freshly produced documentary that she directed. It focuses on a former peer child actor who suffered a much more unfortunate ending compared to her.
Can you guess who she is?
Without a doubt, the actress under discussion is none but Soleil Moon Frye. She captured viewers’ affection at just seven years old with her role as Punky Brewster in the NBC sitcom, and later won hearts once more playing Sabrina The Teenage Witch’s best friend.
On this Wednesday, Soleil made an appearance at a screening in Los Angeles for her upcoming two-part documentary titled “The Carters: Hurts To Love You”.
The Paramount+ initiative is centered around exploring the lives of late child actor Aaron Cater, his sibling Nick Carter (of the Backstreet Boys), and their entire family.
Last November, it was discovered that Aaron had tragically passed away at his residence, aged just 34. The cause of death, as determined by the coroner, was an unfortunate accidental overdose.
An autopsy later determined that the actor and vocalist had tragically drowned in their bathtub following the ingestion of Xanax and inhaling a harmful substance, according to reports from TMZ.
An examination following his death found that the entertainer and musician died by drowning in the bath while under the influence of Xanax and an inhalant, as per TMZ’s report.
Angel Carter’s documentary about the brothers, Soleil, will focus not just on the brothers themselves, but also on how their fame impacted their family as a whole.
The sun shone brightly during the showing of her movie, adorning herself in a sleek, form-fitting black leather gown reminiscent of a cocktail dress, which beautifully accentuated her slender figure, and paired it with matching high-heeled boots of significant height.
In an exciting turn of events, I found myself gracing the stage at the captivating AMC The Grove, where a curious crowd had assembled to catch a sneak peek of my upcoming cinematic venture. Mark your calendars for April 15th!

Soleil began her acting career at the tender age of two, coincidentally also the year her parents, actors Virgil Frye and talent agent Sondra Pelice, parted ways in a divorce.
By age seven, she had already secured her first major acting gig on Punky Brewster, a series that spanned four seasons from 1984 to 1988.
In simpler terms, Punky is a spirited, clever kid who gets left behind by her parents and ends up living with a grumpy old widower portrayed by George Gaynes.
Kids developed a strong fondness for the character named Punky, to an extent that Nancy Reagan, serving as First Lady, recruited Soleil to be a public representative of her anti-drug initiative.
In the 1990s, she made appearances on shows such as Friends and continued her education at college. Then, in the year 2000, she was cast as the character Roxie, the best friend, on Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
Additionally, she provided her vocal talents for several TV animated shows throughout the years, such as Bratz, The Proud Family, Johnny Bravo, and Planet Sheen.
2021 saw the reboot of Punky Brewster on Peacock, where Soleil stepped into the role of the protagonist, portraying a divorced mother of three residing once more in her childhood apartment in Chicago, similar to the original series setting.
Sunny and Charlie Johnson came back to the show, but this time without their former colleagues George Gaynes and Susie Garrett, who sadly passed away during that period.
As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but express my disappointment over the abrupt end of the reboot. This revival, boasting fresh faces such as Freddie Prinze Jr. portraying Punky’s former spouse Travis, sadly met its demise after just one season.
In terms of her personal life, Soleil was married to Jason Goldberg, the producer of Punk’d, from 1998 until 2022. Together, they have four children: daughters Poet, who is 19 years old, and Jagger, aged 17; as well as sons Lyric, 11, and Story, who is eight.
