Child star who acted alongside Kevin Costner in his doomed epic Waterworld looks unrecognizable… see her now
A well-known child actor, who once acted alongside Kevin Costner in the film “Waterworld” (1995), appeared almost unidentifiable during a recent appearance in Los Angeles this week.
30 years ago, I played the memorable role of Enola in a popular post-apocalyptic movie. Now, at 40, I maintain a laid-back style, donning a black vest top and shorts, as I leisurely walk through Thousand Oaks, reminiscing about that iconic part of my past.
In another role, Majorino (familiar from Napoleon Dynamite and Grey’s Anatomy), finished off her look with a baseball hat and sneakers.
Apart from Waterworld, Majorino also appeared in several movies during the 1990s such as Andre, Love Affair (When A Man Loves A Woman), and Corrina, Corrina.
Although the 1995 movie didn’t do well at the box office, the actress mentioned that her time collaborating with Costner remains pleasant in her memory.
Regardless of the chaotic situations happening outside the set, he consistently came to work, always eager to deliver top-notch performance, as she revealed.

He takes joy in completing tasks without needing a specific purpose, and each collaboration with someone who shares this approach has resulted in a deeply satisfying encounter.
In 2004, she appeared in the beloved film Napoleon Dynamite, playing the role of Deb. This film also starred Jon Heder as Napoleon and Efren Ramirez as Pedro Sanchez. Notably, this was her comeback to acting after a five-year break.
In a 2014 interview, she expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “As soon as I finished reading Napoleon Dynamite, I exclaimed, ‘I don’t mind not getting it, but I have to audition for this movie!’
As for me, I estimate I was seventeen years old – having just returned from a break – when I picked up this script for the first time. My reaction? I found it absolutely hilarious!
She commented: ‘Watching that movie served as an immense teaching moment for me about trusting my instincts regarding creative projects. It was absolutely captivating, and it completely rekindled my passion for the art of filmmaking.’
In simpler terms, the movie “Napoleon Dynamite” is about a socially awkward and lonely teenage boy named Napoleon, living in Preston, Idaho. He lends a hand to his freshly made friend Pedro in order to help him secure the student body presidency at their school.
Meanwhile, he deals with his bizarre family life back home.
The movie, penned by duo Jared and his spouse Jerusha, was filmed in just 22 days with a production cost of $400,000. Subsequently, it generated more than $46 million globally, eventually earning the title of a cult favorite.

The movie first appeared at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2004. Later, it was purchased by Fox Searchlight Pictures. In collaboration with MTV and Paramount Pictures, Fox Searchlight distributed the film.
Napoleon Dynamite enjoyed a limited release that June, before its widespread release in August.
Majorino has been featured on shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Scorpion, True Blood, Big Love, Bones, Veronica Mars, and Legends.
