The team behind beloved films like Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit has created a new Chicken Run game! Chicken Run: Eggstraction, which launched today, brings back the characters from the original 2000 stop-motion movie for a brand new adventure.

Developed with Aardman Animations and Outright Games, Eggstraction picks up where the 2023 Netflix movie Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget left off. Players will play as beloved characters like Frizzle, Molly, and Fowler – complete with the original voice actors! – in this exciting new stealth-action adventure, continuing the story in the Chicken Run world.

With the 25th anniversary of Chicken Run, Eggstraction is the first video game based on the movie in 25 years.

Okay, so I’m super excited because Eggstraction is going to be the first Chicken Run video game in 25 years! I was reading an interview with Nick Ricks from Outright Games, and he basically said that with the 25th anniversary of the first movie happening now, it just felt like the right time to jump back into that world with a brand new game. It makes total sense – a perfect time for a fresh adventure!

Good news for fans of Chicken Run! The new game is being made with the same team and actors who created Dawn of the Nugget, and according to Ricks, it will feel like a natural extension of the story.

The game’s heroes go on exciting missions to save their bird friends from farms, and a fantastic group of actors bring the story to life with their voices. This includes Bella Ramsey, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and other returning cast members.

Ricks says they’ve reunited many of the original voice actors from the movie, which helps the game feel like a true extension of the beloved Chicken Run universe.
