Be warned: this article contains spoilers from the latest episode of Chicago P.D., Season 13, titled “Send Me.” You can watch the episode next day with a Peacock subscription.
Torres has been facing a lot of hardship on Chicago P.D. since Season 12, and actor Benjamin Levy Aguilar hasn’t had much to celebrate on screen lately. While things haven’t been easy for his character, the recent episode “Send Me” suggests a possible turning point after a difficult time. As a fan, I particularly enjoyed this episode because it featured a guest appearance by Chad L. Coleman, known for his work on The Walking Dead!
I didn’t really get into The Walking Dead until it was almost over, and neither did Coleman, but I always loved his portrayal of Tyreese. It was genuinely upsetting when his character ended. So, I was happy to see him again on Chicago P.D., even though his role there was brief.
Odell Morgan is almost certainly going to serve only one sentence because he died, even though Agent Torres tried hard to prove his innocence. Their unlikely partnership began when Morgan escaped custody during a car accident, and Torres listened to his claim that he was wrongly convicted of killing his wife – a conviction built on false testimony from his brother, Carter.

Now that Torres was assisting the team, Morgan discovered his brother had deliberately framed him for murder to protect their own family. Sadly, Morgan died from injuries sustained in a recent crash. The situation worsened when Carter was killed before he could share crucial information about a larger conspiracy, leaving many questions unresolved at the end of the episode.
I was really captivated by what Torres did this week! He ended the ‘Send Me’ episode by going to see Morgan’s daughter, and I was so moved when he told her they were starting to believe her father might not have been responsible for her mother’s death. She actually invited him inside, which feels like a huge step towards uncovering the truth, and I think it’s brilliant that he’s trusting his gut. It made for a really compelling episode and has given him a fresh drive to solve the case.
I’d been expecting this turn of events for a while, especially considering how much Torres has struggled emotionally since the fallout with Gloria. Things didn’t get any better when Deputy Chief Reid, who wasn’t missed by many, used that situation to pressure the Intelligence team. After Morgan’s death, I worried Torres would fall apart completely.
The episode ended on a hopeful note, suggesting he’s now determined to prove the innocent man was wrongly convicted. Plus, he appears much more put-together in recent photos from the upcoming finale. Here’s a comparison: the earlier “Send Me” Torres versus the Torres we’ll see in the fall finale.

Benjamin Levy Aguilar has portrayed Torres’ emotional struggles convincingly for weeks, and his character’s unkempt look reflected Torres’ internal turmoil and self-neglect. It’s a positive change to see Torres looking healthier and more put-together in the final episode of 2025, suggesting a step towards healing.
However, it looks like Voight will be the main focus of the fall finale, titled “Impulse Control.” The preview heavily features him – you can check it out for yourself!
The fall finales for the One Chicago shows will air on NBC starting November 12th. Chicago Med Season 11 kicks things off at 8 p.m. ET, followed by Chicago Fire Season 14 at 9 p.m. ET, and concluding with Chicago P.D. Season 13 at 10 p.m. ET. This year, the seasons are ending a bit earlier than usual – typically airing later in November – so fans will have to say goodbye to their favorite characters temporarily sooner than expected.
