Cheryl Spotted Out for the First Time After Stalker Scare and Liam Payne’s Tragic Funeral!

Over the weekend, Cheryl was spotted publicly for the first time since the incident with her stalker and Liam Payne’s funeral. She was seen having dinner in London with her mother Joan and a companion.

For the first time last week, the identity of the person who had been harassing her during her mourning period after her breakup with Liam, her stalker, was revealed.

50-year-old Daniel Bannister, who had been previously convicted as a murderer, was imprisoned for 16 weeks on March 14, due to violating a protective order that was issued to him back in September.

It is reported that he became intensely preoccupied with the well-known Girls Aloud member, who was 41 at the time, causing her great concern due to his relentless and intrusive behavior.

In 2012, Bannister, who spent nearly three years imprisoned for manslaughter due to his actions involving the fatal kicking and punching of a neighbor, consistently attempted to reach out to Cheryl.

However, leaving her challenging year in the past, she ventured out for an evening meal with her closest loved ones.

She was spotted departing from Le Petit Chef, a place offering an interactive culinary journey, for the first time since the distressing incidents involving her former boyfriend Liam – who passed away and was stalked, both events occurring in November 2024 in London.

On October 16th, one of the stars from the band One Direction passed away following a fall from a third-story balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires. He shares a seven-year-old son named Bear with his partner.

As she stepped out she looked stylish in a long blue wool coat, jeans and snakeskin boots. 

Before ringing the video intercom at her shared Buckinghamshire mansion with Bear, Bannister was under a restraining order.

The disturbing event occurred in December, a time when she was mourning the passing of her ex-partner, Liam.

On March 14, when Cheryl was absent from High Wycombe Magistrate’s Court, she didn’t prepare a statement detailing the impact of her stalker’s actions for reading during his sentencing hearing.

In a previous declaration given to the Crown Prosecution Service, she expressed that his continuous efforts to reach out to her made her feel invaded and threatened. Additionally, she conveyed her concern for the wellbeing of her child.

In the past year, I found myself visiting a particular residence on three distinct occasions – once in January, again in July, and most recently in December. This is a fact that was brought to light during a recent hearing.

Cheryl told police she ‘immediately panicked’ when she spotted Bannister outside her home.

She informed the police that it was Daniel because she’d encountered him on her property before, during past occurrences.

‘I was concerned he was looking for a way into the property.’

According to the police, the singer informed them that her son was expected home from the movie theater, and she didn’t want him encountering the stalker, the court learned.

‘I want to protect my child from any harm.’

Having spent almost three months on remand, Bannister is likely to be released within weeks.

Judge Arvind Sharma instructed Bannister that he must serve an immediate prison term, and further stated that the fresh, ongoing protective order prohibits any future communication with Tweedy.

He was prohibited from accessing or entering any structure where he believes Cheryl might be, and he was forbidden from reaching out to her via social networking platforms.

In the courtroom, where Bannister was dressed in a grey tracksuit issued by the prison, he flashed a smile upon hearing that he had requested a glass of wine from Cheryl during his visit to her residence.

Prosecutor Datta Ryan stated that Cheryl identified Bannister when he was standing near her house’s entrance, which she accessed by pressing the door intercom system in December.

She said she feared he was going to scale the gate and called her personal security.

Bannister did not manage to get into the grounds of the mansion in Buckinghamshire.

In her statement to the CPS Cheryl said:’ I feared for my safety and my child’s safety.

‘It causes me to panic. He is not allowed to be at my home.’

Previously incarcerated individual without a permanent residence, Bannister, was imprisoned for four months in September, issued a three-year protective order, and prohibited from setting foot in the county of Buckinghamshire due to his actions of stalking Cheryl.

However, on December 10th, several weeks after Cheryl had attended Payne’s funeral while still grieving, he made an appearance at the house she resides in with her seven-year-old son Bear.

At a prior court session, I confessed to committing three transgressions, two instances of disturbing behavior, and a violation of the restraining order that had been imposed upon me. Subsequently, I was placed under the supervision of the authorities.

Bannister’s sentencing was scheduled for January, however, the judge delayed the proceedings to wait for medical reports.

Colin Mackerell, his lawyer, informed the court that according to a psychiatrist’s assessment, he wasn’t experiencing any mental illness.

Bannister has been in custody for over three months at Bullingdon prison in Oxfordshire.

In the year 2012, he was imprisoned due to a conviction of manslaughter, stemming from the incident where he took the life of his neighbor, Rajendra Patel, at a YMCA hostel located in Croydon, which happened to be their shared residence.

In the court, it was revealed that both individuals were dealing with mental health issues. Specifically, Mr. Patel had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

After living together in adjoining rooms at a shelter for the homeless, they often encountered disagreements in their shared living space.

Bannister viciously struck and kicked Patel while he was heading towards an elevator, resulting in a broken ankle, nose, and facial swelling for Patel.

Patel died 15 days later after the assault from a pulmonary thromboembolism.

In sentencing him, Judge Nicholas Price explained that Bannister didn’t aim to inflict severe harm or death, but the attack was particularly violent.

Judge Nicholas Price imprisoned Bannister, stating that while he hadn’t intended for serious injury or death, the attack was brutal.

He said he was not a danger to the public, but had no choice but impose a prison sentence.

According to Kathleen O’Callaghan from the Crown Prosecution Service, the unwanted focus of individuals such as Daniel Bannister often leaves their targets feeling apprehensive and frightened.

Clearly, Bannister ignored an earlier restraining order, and the Prosecution contended that these intentional violations were aggravated because they occurred very soon after the order was issued.

Consequently, Bannister will serve a more extended sentence behind bars and has been ordered not to approach or contact anyone under an ongoing protection order.

Prosecutor Datta Ryan had said Cheryl felt ‘violated’ by his repeated attempts to contact her.

She stepped up her personal security in March 2023 while appearing on the West End stage.

In “2.22 Ghost Story,” her evening performance was spoiled because revolting notes were found with bouquets at the London theater.

In November, she conducted the mourning ceremony for the late ex-member of One Direction, Payne, in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

He passed away after falling off a balcony at his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, following an excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs.

In an Instagram post, Cheryl expressed that their son will have to endure the sad truth of not being able to meet his father (Payne) again.

Posting a monochrome photo of Payne lying in bed with his son, she expressed: “While I struggle to find my way through this devastating experience and cope with the overwhelming sorrow at this incredibly difficult period, let me politely request that we all remember – we have lost a fellow human being.

Liam wasn’t just known as a popular musician and well-known figure; he was also a devoted son, loving brother, caring uncle, cherished friend, and a devoted dad to our seven-year-old boy. Tragically, our little one now has to grapple with the harsh truth of never being able to see his father again.
