Cher’s Son Hit With Divorce Bombshell! You Won’t Believe What Happened Next!
Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s troubled son, has once more received divorce documents from his separated spouse, Marieangela ‘Queenie’ King.
On Tuesday, Marieangela, aged 37, officially separated from Elijah, 48, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, as reported by TMZ.
She noted March 31 was their date of separation.
In 2013, Elijah tied the knot with Marieangela, also known as Queenie from the band KING. The couple doesn’t have any kids together.
In the interim while their case is ongoing, Marieangela is aiming for a minimum monthly alimony of $6,000.

Born in Mumbai, India, to a father from Britain and a mother from Germany, this individual spent their childhood in approximately thirty diverse nations. They are one of six siblings who, at different times, were part of the musical group known as KING.
78-year-old Cher has historically had strained interactions, not only with Elijah but also with his wife, Marieangela, whom he met during his medical treatment for severe Lyme Disease in Germany.
It’s said that the renowned figure in movies and music didn’t extend congratulations to the couple who secretly got married, and he also chose not to recognize their engagement publicly.
For significant periods, ranging from several months to multiple years, she rarely communicated with her son, whom she sent to a boarding school at the tender age of eight.
Much of the tension between Cher and Elijah has stemmed from his estranged wife Marieangela King.
For over a decade, Allman and King have been husband and wife, yet their union has often been turbulent. As early as 2021, the singer initiated divorce proceedings.
In January 2024, they submitted a plea to discard the application, but the judge refused their appeal on a minor procedural issue because Cher was attempting to become her son’s conservator.
In the year 2023, I took the step to petition as his sole guardian, primarily due to concerns about his reported struggles with substance abuse and mental health. Last year in court, I declared that I had maintained a sober lifestyle, abstaining from illicit substances, for more than 90 days.
In September 2024, Cher withdrew her bid for conservatorship.
The ongoing incident involves accusations made by King that Cher allegedly “abducted” Allman from a New York hotel room in November 2022, during an attempt to reconcile their marital issues. Subsequently, Cher’s son was reportedly subjected to a strict rehab program in Mexico.
Allman prefers not to be under a conservatorship managed by his mother, and instead requests King to take on that role.
The contentious legal dispute, initiated in December 2023 when Cher sought temporary conservatorship over Allman, has turned out to be particularly acrimonious. Her son has publicly criticized her as being ‘misguided’ and ‘unsuitable’ for managing a conservatorship.
In court papers, he stated, “In the past, I’ve witnessed her struggle with depression, and I don’t think she can make sound decisions regarding my assets.
In my own words, I assert that no conservatorship is required for me. It’s within my power to confront and overcome the challenges I face, and I am taking that task upon myself.
According to Cher, her son’s history with drug addiction, coupled with mental and physical health struggles, leaves him incapable of handling the $120,000 yearly income from a trust fund established for him by his late father, blues singer Greg Allman (who passed away in 2017).
The renowned singer expressed concern that he might use his $30,000 regular payments for drugs, potentially endangering his life.
In January 2024, Judge Jessica Uzcategui initially turned down her application due to two reasons: firstly, her legal team failed to provide adequate notice about the court proceedings; secondly, they declined to disclose confidential information to Allman.
Nevertheless, despite Allman’s disagreement and preference for King as a potential conservator, Cher was granted permission to continue the legal battle over the matter.
In my perspective, being an overly enthusiastic fan, I firmly believe that my significant other deserves precedence. Thus, based on my comprehension, it seems that the cherished one no longer holds the privilege of precedence.
King and her well-known mother-in-law have historically maintained a cold, strained relationship. According to King, her mother-in-law has acted as a ‘disruptive influence’ in Elijah’s life, hindering his attempts to remain drug-free and abstinent.
In the legal documents, she stated that their relationship has been characterized by a recurring pattern involving substance abuse issues and psychological distress.
According to Cher, King has failed to support Elijah’s recovery efforts and, in fact, has taken actions aimed at preventing Elijah from achieving sobriety and seeking necessary mental health care.
She expressed concern that giving King control over the conservatorship could pose a risk for Elijah and his property, stating that such action might lead to an immediate squandering or depletion of Elijah’s assets due to self-harming behaviors.
Additionally, they disagreed about Cher’s choice to take her son for rehabilitation in Mexico, with King making a trip to the country to arrange for Allman’s release.
According to the court documents, he stated that his relationship with his mother has been tense for a long time. To illustrate this, on October 17, 2023, as I was informed, my mother arranged for me to be taken to Mexico under the pretext of receiving “holistic alternative therapy”.
Upon reaching Mexico, I was informed that I wasn’t there for holistic or alternative therapy, and unfortunately, I was not allowed to depart.
‘It was my wife who retained counsel and negotiated my release from the facility in Mexico.
Though I’d like to assume that my mom always has my best interests at heart, personally, I know she struggles with managing her own finances.
‘I therefore have grave concerns about this court permitting her to manage any of mine.’
