Cher’s Hilarious Time Travel Mishap: Witch Hunt in New Uber Eats Ad!

I can’t help but geek out over the fact that Cher has just elevated her iconic status even further! This week, she stole the show in an uproariously funny ad for Uber Eats down under. Absolutely brilliant!

In the advertisement for the food delivery service, the music icon, aged 78, found himself inadvertently time-traveled to the 15th century, where he was mistakenly labeled as a witch.

However, aligning with her self-deprecating humor, the artist behind “Believe” delivered numerous amusing remarks that left fans laughing out loud and admiring the creative commercial.

The video starts off showing Cher inside her magnificent home, softly singing her famous song “If I Could Turn Back Time,” while exuding an amazingly attractive allure in a bold and stylish leather outfit.

In an all-black ensemble, the performer showcases her long legs with a mini skirt featuring a chain belt, complemented by a leather jacket adorned with intricate silver eyelet patterns.

Drawing inspiration from her 1989 chart-topper, she next whips out her mobile device and navigates to the Uber Eats application, intending to request a Time Machine. Her recent search queries offer a chuckle, as they display: ‘Anti-aging cream’.

The doorbell rings promptly, bringing an Uber Eats delivery that includes a small, vintage-style time machine.

In a daydream, Cher grasps the gadget, adjusting its knobs, and softly utters, “Transport me to the ’80s,” then swiftly navigates through time.

Yet upon opening her eyes, she discovers herself perched atop a weathered cannon in a decaying medieval village.

The villagers are taken aback by the unexpected emergence of the futuristic celebrity, leaving them puzzled about her identity. In a state of bewilderment, Cher exclaims, “Isn’t this supposed to be the ’80s?

Instead of teleporting herself back to the ’80s as she initially suspected, she unknowingly found herself in the year 1680.

As an over-the-moon admirer, I must share that the advertisement playfully mocks Cher’s timeless beauty. One woman, looking a bit disheveled, humorously remarks: “She’s simultaneously youthful and mature… it’s mind-blowing!

In simpler terms, another townswoman exclaims, “She’s a witch!” with conviction, which startles the other villagers and incites them to join in this accusation, echoing the claim repeatedly.

An offended Cher corrects them by declaring: ‘I’m not a witch, I’m an icon!’

Nevertheless, I was devastated to find myself witnessing her swift trial, convicted as a witch, and subsequently, the commercial abruptly switched to an appalling scene of her bound to a pyre, consumed by flames.

In the midst of the medieval crowd shouting “Witch!” and performing a dance, Cher swiftly spots an elderly man wearing some distinctively bedazzled shoes, which she recognizes as being quite familiar.

In a frustrated tone, she asks, “Are those my boots?” However, her question falls on deaf ears as the crowd, filled with bloodlust, pays no heed. Unable to hide her exasperation, she murmurs, “This is ludicrous.

In my own words, “The advertisement concludes with Cher back in her kitchen, whipping up a meal under the slogan: ‘Time Travel – Fresh Herbs – Absolutely! Uber Eats: Almost Anything at Your Doorstep’.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share my enthusiasm about my decision to be part of the riotously funny Uber Eats advertisement. The originality and uproariousness of the concept immediately captivated me. I am incredibly proud of the end result we created together.

While she then jokily added: ‘I sincerely hope Uber will get me back my boots.’
