Cher names the one and only celebrity who broke up with her… revealing she was ‘madly in love’ with him

Cher explained that she left because it seemed their time together had a natural limit, and mentioned that he was quite young at the time.

Cher revealed back in 2018 that, ‘When we kissed, I thought my head would shoot right off my body.’

Then in 2021, she opened up in more detail about the relationship, revealing where they met.

At a party thrown for me by a friend, I encountered him. She mentioned that she had invited him and believed that he would appeal to either myself or her editor acquaintance. This is how Cher put it.

Our friendship developed through our shared sense of humor and frequent laughter. He often stayed overnight, but initially, it was purely a friendship that grew over time, although not necessarily for a very long period, as she mentioned.

He followed that up with 1985’s Real Genius and 1986’s Top Gun and his career was fully launched.

Cher added that she watched his 2021 documentary Val, and wrote to him after she watched it.
