Cher is reportedly in talks to work on a Netflix series about her life and career.
The 79-year-old performer, who is currently in a relationship with someone 40 years younger, is set to star in a seven-part series that could launch on the streaming service in 2026.
The Sun reports that she’s seriously discussing a project called ‘Sharing Her Story,’ likely a TV series.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Cher’s reps for comment but hasn’t yet received a response.
The episodes, each about an hour long, are expected to launch alongside the second half of the singer’s autobiography, following the release of the first part in November 2024.
According to a source, Cher and Netflix have been negotiating for several months and are now close to finalizing a deal.

According to a source, a seven-episode series is planned to explore the ups and downs of her life.
They estimate the project’s value at £13 million (around $17 million) and have tentatively named it ‘Sharing Her Story,’ playing on the meaning of the phrase.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following Cher’s recent revelations about her marriage to Sonny Bono with a heavy heart. In her memoir, she bravely shares some incredibly difficult experiences, detailing instances where she felt controlled and even physically intimidated by him. She’s revealed that there were times she genuinely feared for her life, admitting she once considered the possibility he might harm her. It’s a stark reminder that even seemingly glamorous relationships can hide deeply troubling dynamics.
She described feeling stuck in her marriage between 1969 and 1975, a period that resulted in the birth of their son, Chaz Bono.
Sonny and Cher became famous as a pop music duo in the 1960s, and then hosted their own variety show on television in the 1970s.
Cher quickly moved on after her divorce from Sonny, marrying Gregg Allman on June 30, 1975 – just four days after her divorce was finalized. She had initially filed for divorce from Sonny in February 1974.
She and her second husband, a co-founder of The Allman Brothers Band who passed away in 2017 at age 69, had a son named Elijah Blue in 1976.
Elijah, a 49-year-old musician, has battled addiction for years. He recently spent time in the hospital after a drug overdose and has since been discharged.

Cher is now dating Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, who is 39 years old and four decades younger than her.
Earlier this month, she appeared on CBS Mornings with Gayle King to talk about her new gelato, which she’s calling Cherlato.
She talked openly about her three-year relationship with the music executive during their conversation.
‘We laugh all the time, you know? I just love him,’ she gushed about her much-younger beau.
When it comes to critics of the unlikely pairing, the singer had one word: ‘Whatever.’
Honestly, she really made a point of saying they don’t understand what our life is really like. It’s just us, and we have so much fun together – nobody on the outside knows the half of it!
Cher will next take the stage as the musical act on Saturday Night Live on December 20.
