Cher DRAGGED into troubled son Elijah Blue Allman’s divorce as ex wife slams his family’s trust funds

It appears that Elijah Blue Allman’s former spouse, Marieangela King, may be prepared to confront her ex and his affluent family in the wake of their contentious divorce, as she has reportedly drawn Cher, Elijah’s famous mother, into the dispute.

On the 8th of April, the 37-year-old artist decided to end their 11-year-long marriage with Elijah, who is 48, due to unresolvable issues.

During that period, she additionally asked for $6,000 per month as alimony and exclusive access to the 2017 Toyota Prius, as stated in the court records.

Recently obtained court documents by Daily Mail show that Marieangela has asked the court for a temporary order of both spousal maintenance and legal fees. Specifically, she is seeking monthly spousal support of $6,500 and $10,000 to cover attorney’s fees.

The paperwork was submitted not long ago, following Elijah’s release from the hospital, which had been due to a drug overdose on June 14, according to TMZ’s reports.

The Daily Mail, using information from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, reported that the son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman was taken to a hospital on Saturday due to unusual behavior.

Inside the house, they found drugs, and the investigation regarding this matter continues.

Currently, Queenie King, formerly known as Marieangela, is urgently appealing to the court to compel Elijah to provide support for her as she alleges she’s financially struggling due to limited income.

In legal records, a woman from Los Angeles who refers to herself as a housewife and homemaker stated that her combined bank balances amount to only $3,651.96. However, she claims her monthly expenses total $12,000, with $5,000 going towards rent and $1,500 for groceries and household supplies, leaving a significant shortfall.

In a court document filed on June 20, she asserted that she has not earned an income since 2009, as she paused her career to fulfill household responsibilities and assist in the advancement of Elijah’s career.

In her filing, she expressed gratitude for having lived a remarkable life alongside her spouse. For over a decade of our married life, I’ve made significant personal career sacrifices in accordance with my husband’s family’s expectations.

In the spirit of my unwavering fandom, I’d like to share a perspective I’ve gathered: I’ve made it clear in court that the entertainment industry is a challenging battleground. Regrettably, I’ve found it arduous to advance my own career while simultaneously attending to Elijah’s needs and prioritizing his family’s well-being, all under the intense scrutiny of the public eye. Unfortunately, despite his high profile status, no substantial assistance has been extended to help me thrive in this cutthroat arena.

Without any financial backing, she asserts that she cannot manage to attend film school, which costs approximately $80,000 over a period of two years, in order to establish her career. She added that it might take some time before she can join the workforce and sustain herself financially.

She argued, ‘Although my temporary spousal support demand falls short of our marital lifestyle, it’s still necessary for me to meet my living expenses like rent and daily necessities. Moreover, I require funds to pursue additional education and secure a job, aiming to achieve self-sufficiency.’

As his devoted spouse, I’d like to emphasize that during our union, he served as the primary financial supporter. He skillfully managed both my health and automobile insurance plans, ensuring we were always protected. Moreover, I assert that he was receiving a monthly income of no less than $20,000 from two distinct sources, which I believe was merely an early payment for what he was due in the future.

Beyond this, she asserts that he had a steady inflow of income from numerous channels. Among these were his position as a partner in the family business (The Allman Brothers brand and its related earnings from music, publishing, merchandising, and assets), residuals and royalties from music, funds from trusts, and substantial donations bestowed upon him by his family and mother, Cher.

She mentioned that he was receiving ‘monetary aid straight from his Mother,’ which she felt ‘was manipulating our standard of living.’

It’s well known that Cher, with an estimated net worth of $360 million, has been embroiled in a longstanding dispute with her daughter-in-law. This conflict is so severe that her daughter-in-law, affectionately known as ‘Queenie’, appears eager to engage in a confrontation.

According to a source, Marieangela feels the monetary aid she’s requesting is justified. She anticipates Cher may challenge this, as such confrontations are familiar to her.

The up-and-coming performer has unequivocally stated in court documents that he possesses sufficient financial resources, deriving from various streams such as his bank, inheritance, earnings, business dividends, music company, family, and affiliated institutions, to cover the attorney fees and expenses – amounting to $300 per hour – for the legal representation.

However, she asserts to the court that she doesn’t require alimony to maintain the extravagant lifestyle she experienced with Elijah. Instead, she claims that $6,500 in monthly spousal support is essential for her to cover fundamental living expenses and acquire a vehicle.

During our marriage, we enjoyed an exceptionally lavish lifestyle. We resided in opulent homes and hotels, ventured on numerous trips, and dined at upscale eateries.

What I’m requesting isn’t enough to maintain our current lifestyle together. Instead, I’m seeking assistance that helps me meet my essential living costs, so I can work towards becoming financially independent.

She elaborated on the fact that throughout their marriage, both she and Elijah enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle. They took multiple trips across Europe, often staying at top-tier hotels. Their primary residence was in Beverly Hills, and they also had a house in picturesque Malibu.

As an unabashed enthusiast, I’ve been fortunate enough to indulge in exclusive perks such as private pools and gyms, savoring the services of chefs, housekeeping staff, and therapists. Dining experiences have taken me from Mr. Chow’s to Nobu, and even the Chateau Marmont. My travels have been elevated, with flights on private jets, as well as first and business class trips. The mansion in Vegas has been my temporary abode during my escapades.

Last month, Elijah was spotted at the popular celeb hangout, Chateau Marmont, looking disheveled and seemingly at his lowest point, reminiscent of a shuffling zombie – as depicted strikingly in exclusive photos and videos obtained by Daily Mail.

According to Marieangela, it’s essential to conduct a thorough evaluation and forensic accounting to establish the worth of their shared properties and assets during their marriage.

In her statement, she requested the court to compel Mr. Allman (Respondent) to disclose all his financial details, including business, trust, and personal accounts. Additionally, she asked for permission to conduct a forensic analysis of any funds that contributed to our marital lifestyle. She clarified that she currently lacks access to our shared assets or income.

She added: ‘It’s essential to reveal the entire financial state of the business, including the respondent’s stake, so we can figure out which parts of those funds belong to the shared assets or have been mixed together.’

She additionally emphasized: ‘I’m not asking for extravagance or indulgence. I’m asking the Court for assistance in achieving transparency and justice, as I am unable to participate effectively and securely in these proceedings without complete financial disclosure and a chance to respond.’

Elijah hasn’t submitted a reply to the divorce documents nor made any public comments about her allegations as of now.

According to a source, tensions may escalate significantly between the pair if there are disagreements about the statements she’s made, as suggested by the source speaking to Daily Mail.

However, following Elijah’s initial petition, he ultimately chose to rekindle his bond with Marieangela and withdraw the divorce proceedings in 2024.

According to the divorce petition filed by King in April 2025, the couple parted ways on March 31, 2025.

On June 23rd, a court mandate for a collaborative family discussion regarding our case resolution was submitted. This is typically a routine request during divorce proceedings, encouraging both parties to gather and discuss our case, aiming to discover possible solutions beyond the courtroom.  A hearing for spousal support, however, has been scheduled for August.
