Cher is sharing rare insight into her 40-year age gap romance with Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards.

This week, 79-year-old Cher spoke with Gayle King on CBS Mornings to share details about her new gelato, which she’s calling Cherlato.

She talked openly about her three-year relationship with the 39-year-old music executive during their conversation.

‘We laugh all the time, you know? I just love him,’ she gushed about her much-younger beau.

When it comes to critics of the unlikely pairing, the singer had one word: ‘Whatever.’

She made it clear that others shouldn’t assume they understand her life or relationship. She and her partner simply enjoy each other’s company and have a great time together, and that’s what matters.

When asked about her age, the famous singer shared that her partner simply reminds her, “You get older, but your spirit stays young.”

She spoke highly of her boyfriend, saying she found him both beautiful and incredibly talented. She believes he’s among the most gifted people she knows.

Cher mentioned she loves being around Alexander’s son, Slash, who is six years old and was born during Alexander’s relationship with Amber Rose.

The If I Could Turn Back Time hitmaker described the youngster as ‘smart, funny’ and ‘a delight.’

She once jokingly told Gayle that she wished for ‘a toddler and a man,’ and she feels she’s gotten exactly that.

She talked about the age gap between herself and Alexander back in December 2022 when she was on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Cher jokingly said their relationship seems strange when you think about it, but they actually get along wonderfully in person. She described him as fantastic and explained she doesn’t praise men who haven’t earned it.

The couple was last seen together at the Swarovski Masters of Lighting Opening Celebration in Los Angeles last week.

In September, the musician posted photos on Instagram from a night out with Alexander at a Valentino party.

Cher, whose full name is Cherilyn Sarkisian, and her boyfriend were seen holding hands in New York City a few weeks ago.

For the last three years, the pair have often been seen at fashionable events and social gatherings, as they both share a passion for style and being around people.

In July, they attended Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Roma event in Italy, where they enjoyed meals and mingled with leading figures in the fashion world, including Pat McGrath and Edward Enninful.
