Cher connected with her 15-year-old granddaughter by sharing her wardrobe at her Malibu home and chatting about relationships.

The 79-year-old singer was stunned to learn she has a granddaughter, finally confirming long-held family rumors that her son had a child in secret.

Last year, the teenager’s mother, Kayti Edwards, reportedly told the famous celebrity everything during a heartfelt phone conversation.

Kayti, the granddaughter of Julie Andrews, says she had a short-term relationship with Elijah Allman, Cher’s son, in 2010. They had a daughter together named Ever.

She claims Elijah knew about Ever and would occasionally visit, about every few years, but he didn’t want to be a father.

Kayti says the truth emerged in 2021 after Elijah overdosed on drugs. He then told his soon-to-be ex-wife, Marie Angela King, that he had a child he hadn’t previously disclosed.

The news reportedly traveled quickly within the family, and last year Cher supposedly reached out to Kayti to confirm it. Sources say Cher was stunned to discover she was a grandmother.

She said they had dinner together and that Cher invited Ever to look at her closet, even showing her jeans she’d worn on stage, according to an interview with The Sun.

Looking back on the visit, she said they had a lot of fun – the children played in the pool, and she chatted with Ever about school and even boys. It felt like she was a child again herself.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Cher for comment.

This news follows Cher’s recent request to the court to temporarily oversee the affairs of her son, Elijah, due to ongoing financial, legal, and substance abuse issues.

According to court filings obtained by the Daily Mail on Friday, the singer—who shares a son, Elijah, with her late ex-husband, Gregg Allman—has revealed that her son is currently hospitalized for psychiatric care. She states his condition has worsened considerably since she initially sought a conservatorship in 2023.

Cher described a frightening situation where Elijah was discovered unresponsive in his car, which blocked traffic. He was rushed to the hospital, and doctors used Narcan to revive him.

Justin Bieber also worried about Elijah’s handling of money, saying he doesn’t understand its value, can’t manage his finances, and is easily taken advantage of financially.

Cher has revealed that her son owes a drug dealer $18,000 and needed to borrow money from a friend to stay safe.

In addition to his drug issues, Elijah is facing a mounting $200,000 tax bill.

Court records show he owes a substantial amount of money due to damage he caused at several Airbnbs, like cigarette burns and broken windows.

Cher claims Elijah owes $50,000 from his last Airbnb stay after he reportedly trashed the property.

She claims he’s been prohibited from staying at 18 hotels due to disruptive behavior, including yelling offensive language and acting unpredictably.

In a troubling event, Elijah reportedly trapped a young hotel maid and made unwanted sexual advances towards her.

Elijah has recently been arrested several times in New Hampshire. The charges against him include serious crimes like burglary, as well as lesser offenses such as criminal trespass and simple assault. He also violated the terms of his bail.

I’m really worried about Elijah, and Cher has asked the court to appoint Jason Rubin as his temporary conservator to help manage things. She feels his situation is incredibly urgent and needs immediate attention, so she’s hoping the judge will approve this request to ensure he’s taken care of.

She shared that Elijah’s mental health has gotten much worse, and his drug use is now more serious than ever before.

Cher is asking Rubin to take charge of Elijah’s problems so they can be addressed gradually, one at a time.
