Chelsea Green is an underrated member of the WWE women’s division
As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed countless wrestling matches and followed the WWE roster for years, I can confidently say that Chelsea Green is one of the unsung heroes in the women’s division. Her in-ring prowess and comedic charm make her a standout performer who deserves more recognition.
There’s a wealth of talent on the WWE roster. While most of the time goes to the men’s division, often to the dismay of fans, it’s impossible to ignore many of the standouts in the women’s division who make it on television each week and the talented performers left backstage. There’s one individual who may not be the top name in mind when it comes to being a champion, but she’s a key member of the women’s division. That person is Chelsea Green and she is a standout on this roster in more ways than one.
Chelsea Green is among the entertainers who truly understand the nuances of sports entertainment. The WWE showcases its stars and wrestling action in a distinct manner that aligns with their goals.
Green can get the job done in the ring. Fans who opine about star ratings might have some thoughts, but what Green does bell to bell works for the sports entertainment product. Her Cagematch rating has her sitting at 6.71, which is a highly serviceable number for either division in the tough world of match criticism. She has some fun entries worth watching such as her 2018 match against Pentagon, the three-way against Kylie Rae and Kamille in 2022, and her recent match against Michin. She can work when given the opportunity to do so with the right talent.
However, Green truly excels in her character portrayals. She consistently stands out as one of the funniest performers, offering a comedic flair that is refreshingly natural and not contrived. Viewing a Chelsea Green match or promo without laughing is quite a challenge for most viewers.
Beyond her comedic performances, Green excels at a wide range of roles. She can transform into everything from an unhinged villain to a beloved heroine. Green’s ability to adapt and optimize each character is truly remarkable.
As an avid WWE fan, I can’t help but voice my enthusiasm for the idea of introducing mid-card titles specifically for the women’s division. A Women’s Intercontinental or United States Championship would be a fantastic fit for Chelsea Green, who possesses the talent and charisma to carry such a title. In fact, it would be intriguing to see her emulate Carmella’s role with the Money in the Bank briefcase, a move that resonated strongly with fans years ago. The women’s division is brimming with depth, and Chelsea Green is one of the performers who should not be overshadowed when discussing the valuable talents within this promotion.
