chelo after FURIA eliminated 9 Pandas from BetBoom Dacha: “What shalfey said was very beneficial for us — now thank you and go home.”

As a devoted fan of Brazilian CS:GO, I must say that Chelo’s words resonate deeply with me. The passion and determination he exhibits are a testament to his life experience in the competitive world of esports. The way he channels anger into energy, turning insults into fuel for victory, is truly inspiring.

The Brazilian rifler said 9 Pandas made FalleN show his prime mode today.

Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes and his team, FURIA, secured a 2-0 victory against 9 Pandas in an intense replay at the BetBoom Dacha CS2 2024 tournament. Although the Russian squad has been eliminated from the competition, FURIA has qualified for the playoffs as a result of their success.

The upcoming match between teams 9 Pandas and FURIA attracted a lot of interest, as the leader of 9 Pandas (IGL) stated to HLTV that their victory over the Brazilians on August 25 wasn’t considered a significant achievement by his team. Following this, FURIA’s IGL Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo expressed in an interview with Xpsp that he views 9 Pandas as not particularly skilled and was eager to face them again.

In a chat following FURIA’s victory over 9 Pandas and Eternal Fire in BetBoom Dacha’s group B play-in round, chelo, the skilled Brazilian marksman, was open about his thoughts.

Absolutely, their comments served as an added boost for us. Specifically, FalleN and I felt enraged upon reading their remarks, but instead of dwelling on it, we channeled that anger into energy that fueled the entire team. Shalfey’s words turned out to be quite beneficial for us—so thank you, now go home.

And that wasn’t all. Stay with us and read the rest of the interview below.

Post-match interview with FURIA chelo about 9 Pandas and the rest of the tournament

So, I’m guessing that he facilitated your pre-game team huddle?

“Our pre-game team huddle was all about our anger towards them, there was no other way.”

FalleN played exceptionally well in the series as he got a lot of kills and was going for all sorts of aggressive plays. Did you feel that he had some sort of X-factor?

It seems to me that today, we experienced top-form FalleN as a result of his intense anger and energy. Whenever FalleN mentions he’s going for his “shotgun AWP,” which translates to a rush with the AWP, it signals that he’s in peak performance mode. In such situations, we simply follow his lead and provide him with the necessary support. When he enters this state of mind, he doesn’t use flashbangs; instead, we take care of those and allow him to play freely.

How’s the confidence for the rest of the tournament after defeating 9 Pandas and Eternal Fire?

After these impressive performances on the maps, I believe our team’s self-assurance can only grow stronger. While our practice sessions have been promising, it is tournament play where we truly build confidence. Once we start gaining confidence, it becomes a continuous process.

Last question: Do you have anything to say for who is downplaying Brazilian CS?

1. “Take care, as we plan on returning. Keep an eye out, since we aim to be number one globally.” (In this paraphrase, I’ve attempted to maintain a friendly and informal tone while conveying the original message.)
