Summary
- A new Air Jordan 3 sample made for the Nike EYBL has surfaced
- The sneaker features a white leather upper, Nike EYBL heel branding, and multicolored galaxy-inspired graphics
- It is likely an exclusive for EYBL participants and is not expected to ever reach retail shelves
The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (Nike EYBL) stands out not just for gathering top-tier young basketball players, but also for showcasing a variety of limited-edition sneakers from the Nike Basketball lineup.
Back in April, we took a look at the Nike KD 18 “EYBL”. Now, another unique pair catches our attention – an Air Jordan 3 “EYBL” prototype. Given that Air Jordan models rarely participate in the Nike EYBL program, this design is expected to be highly coveted. The “EYBL” version of the Air Jordan 3 features a white leather upper, complemented by lavender, maroon, and black accents on the tongue and lacing system. However, it’s the heel that truly stands out – a galaxy-like mix of purple, white, and red colors spread across the heel tab and part of the midsole. This color scheme is also mirrored under the transparent outsole. Interestingly, the right shoe’s heel bears the Nike EYBL logo instead of the Jumpman branding.
As I type this up, neither Jordan Brand nor Nike Basketball have given any details about why they’ve designed this Air Jordan 3 in the EYBL colorway. Keep your eyes peeled for potential news on these kicks, but it seems like they might be keeping them as an exclusive for EYBL participants and off the regular retail market altogether.
