Check into a terrifying alpine resort in Cuckoo, coming home to digital this week!

As a horror enthusiast with a soft spot for unique storytelling and captivating performances, I’m thrilled about the digital release of “Cuckoo” tomorrow. Having been intrigued by its polarizing reputation, I can’t wait to dive into this psychological horror masterpiece, especially with the stellar cast led by none other than Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens.

Tomorrow, you can stream the chilling movie “Cuckoo” right at home, which has gained quite a buzz due to its unique horror elements and the captivating performance by Hunter Schafer from “Euphoria.” With its release on digital platforms, it’s bound to ignite some intriguing discussions among new viewers as one of this year’s most divisive horror films.

As a captivated admirer, I’d like to share that “Cuckoo,” masterfully crafted by the visionary German director Tilman Singer, is a tale that unfolds from my perspective. The story revolves around me, Gretchen (Schafer), who finds myself in a challenging situation after the loss of my beloved mother. With no other options, I’m compelled to reside with my father (Marton Csokas), his wife (Jessica Henwick), and my half-sister (Mila Lieu) in a serene Bavarian resort town.

So far, Neon has had an exceptional year. They were also responsible for releasing one of this year’s top horror movies, titled “Longlegs“, which earned critical acclaim and became the highest-grossing independent film of 2024 in July. Although “Cuckoo” didn’t perform quite as well, it still garnered mostly positive reviews and recognition for the outstanding lead performances by Schafer and Stevens. Interestingly, Stevens was also a star in another highly-praised 2024 horror film called “Abigail“.

Cuckoo will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in October

Cuckoo’s digital release is scheduled for September 17, but if you prefer physical copies, you’ll have to wait until October 22, as confirmed by Fangoria.

From my perspective as a passionate gamer, I’ve got some exciting news! This upcoming issue of the magazine promises a treasure trove of exclusive content. You’ll find deleted scenes, intriguing interviews, and captivating behind-the-scenes footage. However, it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer to pre-order the physical version. Keep an eye out for updates!

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that I’ve pre-purchased the upcoming movie, “Cuckoo,” in UHD for $19.99 on Amazon. Though it officially drops tonight at midnight Eastern Time (or September 17 for my East Coast friends), West Coasters like myself can begin streaming it as early as 9 p.m. PDT. You’ll also be able to grab it digitally from other retailers such as iTunes and Vudu once it’s released.
