Charlotte Dawson in financial turmoil as her company shuts down with £88k tax bill – just months after welcoming her third child with fiancé Matt Sarsfield following sexting scandal

I’ve found myself in a whirlwind of distress, for my beloved venture, Dawsylicious, has sadly succumbed to financial hardships and gone into liquidation. It’s like losing a dear friend, truly heartbreaking!

As per records from Companies House, it appears that the reality TV personality’s business is currently obligated to pay a £88,000 tax debt and filed for voluntary liquidation on Tuesday.

Thirty-two-year-old mom of three, who gave birth to her third child in March, jointly runs a wholesale clothing and footwear business alongside her partner Matt Sarsfield.

Last year, they successfully reconciled following the public revelation of a sexting scandal involving one of the ex-rugby players.

Now, this pair, with boys Noah (age 4) and Jude (20 months), as well as a newborn girl named Gigi (two months old), will confront their fiscal issues hand in hand.

As a diligent follower, I’ve uncovered records indicating that our company holds approximately £15,000 in assets. This reduction significantly shrinks our projected liabilities, which are currently estimated to amount to a deficit of around £73,300.

Starting from May 2020, Dawsylicious has received a total of three penalty notices, with the latest one being served in April 2024.

Her financial reports needed to be settled by February 29, 2024, and her annual report was due on June 2, 2024. However, both have been marked as past due.

Charlotte’s sole publicly-traded firm, Dawsylicious, is registered with Companies House and specializes in the wholesale distribution of apparel and footwear.

She is also known to have a separate tanning brand, Dawsylicious Tanning. 

TopMob have contacted Charlotte’s representatives for comment.  

Six months ago, back in February, I, a die-hard fan, was on tenterhooks waiting for an update from the beloved duo, Charlotte and Matt, following the news of his indiscretion with another woman. In this update, Charlotte shared their current status.

2024 proved to be quite the thrill ride, she openly shared with TopMob that the couple had been neglecting their time together and lacked regular date nights, resulting in less quality time spent as a pair.

She shared: ‘Last year was particularly challenging, and managing everything while being pregnant made it even harder.’

Things are much improved now, as you can see, we’ve resolved the issues and we’re thrilled about expanding our family.

In addition, they decided to openly discuss the sexting controversy that arose last December, as Matt appeared on her podcast called “The Naughty Corner.

As they began to tentatively work on restoring their trust, Matt choked up and confessed that he deeply regretted his choice and felt devastated by the consequences of his actions, resulting in him breaking down in tears.

Regarding Matthew’s choice to join the podcast, she clarified it was a significant step for him.

He’s proven to be the most challenging podcast guest I’ve encountered due to his apparent nerves, yet our aim is to create a harmonious environment and treat him as part of our team.

In my opinion, since it was highly visible, stating what he did might have provided significant support for many other couples experiencing similar issues.

Charlotte commented: “I believe it was a great decision on our part. Discussing everything seems to be the most effective approach to handling situations, doesn’t it?

In another light, I observed him. Surprisingly, he showed great vulnerability in that moment, something I hadn’t foreseen. His bravery in exposing this side of himself was unexpected, given his usual demeanor.

I believe this decision turned out to be highly beneficial for us. I hope it served as an encouragement for other couples facing similar challenges, because everyone experiences difficult times, right?

In her discussion, she pointed out that celebrities seldom reveal the details of rebuilding trust. She explained, ‘On social media, people portray a specific lifestyle, but they often leave out genuine aspects.’

Sometimes, individuals prefer to conceal the challenges they encounter within their relationships. It’s not a daily occurrence, as there are highs and lows, but these issues tend to remain unspoken, often kept confidential, which is perfectly acceptable.

If I had control over the situation, I would have chosen to keep it private. Regrettably, that wasn’t possible. Since it’s out there, it’s necessary for me to discuss it. Given my open and honest nature on social media, it wouldn’t feel right for me not to acknowledge it.
