Charlotte Crosby became emotional while sharing what helps her mother, Letitia, find joy and meaning in life following her two cancer diagnoses.
Reality TV personality Holly Hagan, 35, recently received a skin cancer diagnosis, adding to her family’s health struggles. Her mother, Letitia, 56, successfully battled breast cancer in 2022.
Charlotte recently shared some good news: her mother is now cancer-free. She also spoke movingly about how her mother inspired her to create her fashion brand, Pepper Girls Club.
Charlotte started her business in 2019 and put £300,000 of her own money into it. However, like many small businesses in the UK, she faced difficulties when the COVID-19 pandemic began.
However, yesterday the brand achieved its first sellout launch to date, according to The Sun.
This mother and daughter have worked hard to build a successful business, and Charlotte has been especially motivated by a personal connection.

She explained to The Sun that she started the business entirely for her mother, who is also her best friend. After her mother lost her job, she wanted to create something they could work on together, both to keep her employed and to provide her with a more comfortable life than returning to full-time work.
The star added that she saw the fashion brand as an amazing opportunity for herself and her mother.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, her projects were put on hold, and she understood she needed to change her approach.
So, she began designing items herself, but her mother was then sadly diagnosed with breast cancer.
Charlotte explained that working on the brand gave her mother a renewed sense of purpose, especially while she was battling breast cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. She always came to work and was eager to participate in every product launch, and she genuinely enjoyed it.
You know, I’ve seen this happen with so many people – there was this incredible brand my friend’s mom absolutely loved, and it was amazing to witness. It completely lifted her spirits and, honestly, it was like she temporarily forgot all about the challenges she was facing. It just goes to show the power a brand can have on someone’s wellbeing.
She told the publication that her mother was vibrant and energetic, and because of that, she felt motivated to continue developing the brand in her honor.
Charlotte’s voice filled with emotion as she spoke about her mother, eventually sharing that her mother is now healthy after battling cancer and is happily working at a warehouse, fulfilling orders.

Everyone is happy to hear this news, especially after Charlotte’s mother, Letitia, revealed her skin cancer diagnosis last month.
The Geordie Shore star’s mother shared the devastating news on Instagram that she’d been diagnosed with cancer just hours before going on vacation. She announced the diagnosis from her trip to her 130,000 followers.
I was really shocked to learn I have skin cancer on my face. I found out just three hours before my flight was scheduled to leave when I went to the hospital.
That’s really disappointing news, especially since I always use sunscreen with a high SPF. I’m truly upset about it.
Letitia posted a close-up photo of her face with a caption explaining she received some surprising news just three hours before her flight.
Letitia shared that a previous photo showed a low-grade skin cancer she discovered just four hours before catching a flight, which was a huge shock. She clarified that she doesn’t use tanning beds and always wears sunscreen with an SPF of 50.
I’ve got a sunburn with a high SPF factor on my face and body. I think it started when I was in Australia, and it’s covering a large area. I might need to get it removed and have a skin graft. I’m really upset about it – I should have used sunscreen and protected my skin! #gutted #sunscrean #protect
Charlotte’s video received lots of comments from her friends and fellow cast members on Geordie Shore, including Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan.

In February 2023, Charlotte received an outpouring of support from her fans after publicly sharing her emotional response to learning her mother, Letitia, had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In late 2022, while expecting her first baby, Alba Jean, Charlotte received upsetting news about her mother.
While filming her BBC reality show, ‘Charlotte in Sunderland,’ Charlotte tearfully told her friend Lauren, ‘She has breast cancer, and she’s really struggling.’
She explained in a video statement that the news was devastating. Her daughter had gone for a standard mammogram with no indication of a problem, making the diagnosis a complete shock.
Charlotte shared the news that her mother was recently diagnosed with an illness, only a few weeks after she and her boyfriend, Jake Ankers, welcomed their baby daughter, Alba Jean.
The TV star was heartbroken to find out her mother had cancer, especially since she had just learned she was expecting her first baby.
Charlotte, who was eight months pregnant, shared that Letitia hadn’t experienced any symptoms or felt any lumps. She admitted she initially found it hard to accept her mother’s diagnosis. Shortly after, Charlotte herself discovered a lump, but doctors assured her it wasn’t cancerous.
Letitia shared that she’d been getting regular mammograms and was completely shocked when she received a cancer diagnosis. She said, ‘I was floored when they told me.’

Telling Charlotte about my cancer was incredibly hard, especially since we’d just found out she was pregnant a couple of months earlier.
Letitia relied on Charlotte and her family for support while she went through four biopsies and ultimately had surgery to remove her tumor and rebuild her breast.
Just days after Charlotte learned the news about her mother, she found a lump in her own breast.
She explained that she became much more attuned to her body. Shortly after her mother received a diagnosis, she discovered a lump and immediately got it checked by a doctor. Thankfully, it turned out to be benign.
Charlotte tried to comfort her mother, insisting it wasn’t cancer and that everything would be okay.
When she told us she had cancer, I initially refused to believe it. I kept saying it wasn’t true, and she had to explain that doctors had confirmed the diagnosis. I just couldn’t accept it, I was so sure it couldn’t be cancer.
Letitia had surgery to remove a tumor, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatment to eliminate any remaining cancer cells.
