Charlotte Crosby has opened about her relationship crisis with her fiancé Jake Ankers.
Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, 35, and her partner Jake, 34, are now parents to two daughters. They welcomed their newest baby, Pixi, in February, and also have a two-year-old daughter named Alba.
Earlier this year, on her show Geordie Stories: Charlotte, Mam Of Two, the reality star shared that her relationship had been struggling since the birth of her daughter, Pixi.
Charlotte recently shared how challenging it’s been adjusting to life with two children, admitting they’ve been struggling with the transition.
She told the Daily Mail that they struggled to balance having two children with their demanding jobs. It took a while to adjust to the new reality.
‘We butted heads a lot. There was a lot of arguing.
‘There was a lot of one trying to better the other.
It was just everyday stuff, really. We just happened to be filming a TV show while it was all happening.
It’s a common experience for all parents at some stage in raising their children.
‘I know that so many people will watch that and be like, “that is so normal”.
‘We’re literally going through that now.’
When asked about being so open with her relationship problems on her show, she said she’s become comfortable sharing all aspects of her life, including her relationships.
‘Jake isn’t, so he struggles a little bit with it.’
Despite their struggles, Charlotte revealed she still has plans for them to welcome more kids.
She said: ‘I’ll never say never, not anytime soon.
‘I’ve always said that I don’t want to be having any children past 37 really, and I’m 36 next year.
‘So I’ve really got till 2027 in January, that’s when I’ve got to make my mind up.
‘I’m never saying never. I’ve just got to see how I feel in January 2027.’
The reality queen and fiancé Jake started dating in 2021.
She shared the news of their engagement on social media in 2023, just over a year after they had their first child.
During a Dubai vacation, Jake surprised Charlotte by proposing on one knee amidst a scattering of rose petals, prompting her to exclaim she was the ‘happiest woman in the world’.
The TV star, who has been with the businessman for two years, looked stunning in a glittering short dress, covering her mouth in surprise and delight.
Jake, surrounded by roses, candles, and a heart-shaped backdrop he’d set up, smiled brightly as he offered the ring.
Overjoyed Charlotte captioned the post: ‘Happiest woman in the world’.
I said yes! I’m so incredibly happy and excited to announce that I’m engaged to my best friend, Jake Ankers – he’s my everything! Last night was the best night of my life!
A microphone was visible in the photo, suggesting the moment would be included in Charlotte’s BBC Three show, ‘Charlotte in Sunderland’.
Jake later posted a picture of the proposal himself, sharing, ‘I finally worked up the courage and asked her! I love you so much.’
Charlotte is back on screens with her new series of Geordie Stories: Charlotte Mam of Two.
The series begins streaming on Paramount+ in the UK on November 19th and shows the reality star’s life with her partner, Jake, and their two children.
