Charlotte Church turns to witchcraft offering ‘ancient wisdom and elemental magic’ as her holistic retreat is costing her a HUGE amount

Charlotte Church is now hosting “witchy weekends” at her wellness retreat in Wales, called The Dreaming. She’s invested over £500,000 to keep the retreat running and offer these new experiences.

The Dreaming, a company founded three years ago by a 39-year-old singer, is reportedly facing significant debt, according to filings with Companies House.

Throughout the year, the retreat hosts various programs designed to help people explore spirituality. Now, Charlotte is also offering her own personal sessions focused on witchcraft.

Charlotte, a High Priestess, is offering a four-night witchcraft retreat at Rhydoldog House in Powys, designed for people who want to explore their magical side through rituals, nature, and immersive practices.

Staying here isn’t inexpensive – a four-night stay for a couple can cost up to £3,000 – and includes unique rooms, like one playfully called ‘The Womb’.

This retreat is designed to help you connect with your inner power through ancient knowledge, the magic of nature, and a journey of self-discovery.

Join Charlotte Church, a singer and spiritual teacher, and Tree Carr, a High Priestess and author, for a retreat designed to help you reconnect with your inner power. The retreat will use practices like ritual, herbalism, dream exploration, connecting with plants, meditation, sound healing, and creative expression to help you do so.

Located in the enchanting Welsh countryside, The Dreaming offers a peaceful retreat where witches can rediscover ancient traditions.

Okay, so every single day is going to be dedicated to a different part of the Witch’s Path – it’s seriously amazing! And it’s all built around the five elements – earth, water, air, fire, and spirit. We’re not just learning *about* witchcraft, we’re going on a journey! It starts with waking up to who we are, then healing old wounds, taking back our power… and then, oh my gosh, it gets even better! We’ll be diving deep and actually *making* things happen, manifesting our dreams! I’m so ready for this!

Charlotte has focused on making the retreat successful, even putting her music career aside, but it hasn’t been easy – the retreat has lost money each year.

The Dreaming Ltd’s debts have increased to £811,626, according to its latest filings with Companies House. This is an increase from £707,550 reported in 2024.

It’s clear Charlotte is committed to making this work, with records showing that companies linked to her music and media ventures have invested £610,149.

Charlotte Church Ltd is owed £516,563 and Chick Flicks Ltd £93,586.

Charlotte had a very successful singing career, earning an estimated £25 million. Although she admitted last year to spending a significant portion of her wealth – saying she wasn’t a millionaire anymore – she still has considerable savings. This has allowed her to adjust to a more modest lifestyle, moving from a large mansion to a smaller, semi-detached house.

Yet latest accounts for Charlotte Church Ltd reveal it has a very healthy £3,099,848 in reserves.

Charlotte runs her retreat with the help of volunteers. She provides them with a place to stay and meals in exchange for their assistance.

In August, she offered her gardening skills in return for essential supplies and the chance to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the area.

In 2023, she launched a wellness retreat in her home country, aiming to help people rediscover themselves and connect with nature.

Charlotte invited people interested in working with the land to stay with her for up to six months, helping with gardening and property upkeep.

Charlotte recorded a video in a beautiful forest, asking for help from someone who is strong, flexible, and willing to work hard.

Hi everyone, Charlotte here from The Dreaming! We’re looking for someone great to join our team and help with garden and property upkeep in exchange for work.

You’ll be working with our head gardener, Sarah, and the rest of the team to maintain both our vegetable and flower gardens.

And we are nestled 47 acres of ancient woodland, forestry – total delightful beauty.’

She continued, explaining that this was a chance to experience what it’s like to live as a community and to feel deeply connected to nature.

We need a physically fit and flexible person who’s eager to work hard and isn’t afraid to jump in and help wherever needed.

If this opportunity interests you, we offer stays ranging from six weeks to six months, and your meals and lodging are provided.

Charlotte finished by saying that if anyone feels drawn to working with the land, they should get in touch, and she’ll happily send over more information. She sends her love to everyone during these challenging times.

She posted the video on The Dreaming’s official Instagram page with the message: ‘We’re looking for volunteers to help with garden and property maintenance in exchange for work! Join our team!’

Help us take care of the land and run our retreat, join our community, and we’ll provide you with food, housing, and the chance to experience the beauty of this special place.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe where Charlotte Church and her husband live! They bought this incredible place, Rhydoldog House, back in 2021 – it cost £1.5 million! But it wasn’t just about the house itself, she’s completely transformed it! She’s worked so hard to make it this amazing, eco-friendly retreat. It has EIGHT different rooms, and get this, it can sleep up to SIXTEEN people! It’s literally a dream, I’m so jealous!

Charlotte opened her retreat in 2023 after overcoming building issues and planning challenges. She designed it as a place where guests could relax, reconnect with nature, and focus on personal wellbeing.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this place! It’s this absolutely massive mansion – seven bedrooms, can you even imagine?! – and it’s three stories high! But that’s not even the best part! It has its OWN helicopter landing pad – seriously, a HELICOPTER PAD! – and get this, there’s a barn on the property, and it’s over 200 years old! The whole estate covers 47 acres… it’s just… perfect. I need to live there!

This wellness retreat offers a variety of activities like cycling, archery, hiking, and fitness classes. Guests can also enjoy relaxing amenities including a hot tub, plunge pool, and an outdoor cinema.

One of the eight guest rooms is called ‘The Womb’ and is meant to honor women. It’s designed to feel cozy and secure, like being wrapped up, and features a pink shower made with a traditional Moroccan plaster called tadelakt. The designer, Charlotte, playfully compares the shower’s shape to a large, unique vagina.

Guests can find relaxation and rejuvenation at the retreat’s Healing Room, which offers activities like yoga, sound healing, and movement sessions, as well as group workshops. The grounds also feature beautiful gardens, a charming Potting Shed, a peaceful Japanese Tea House, and a unique Waterfall Shower.

Meals and drinks are provided, but alcohol isn’t allowed. The food is primarily vegetarian and vegan, and guests are welcome to participate in gardening and cooking with the chefs.

Oh my gosh, Charlotte was talking about the retreat last year, and she said it’s amazing because you don’t *have* to do everything! She explained you can totally ‘pick and choose’ what feels right for *your* body, which is just… incredible. It’s all about figuring out what *you* need, and I’m already planning which things I’ll dive into!

Speaking on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, she explained that the experience is designed to be flexible – like a buffet where you choose what you want. The idea is to tune into your body and figure out what it needs and what you feel like doing.

I’ve been learning so much about what people *really* need to recover. It’s not always the same! Some of us are just completely fried – our nervous systems are exhausted and we need deep, total rest. But for others, it’s about getting out into nature and rediscovering that feeling of wonder we had as kids, that sense of awe and being truly captivated. It’s like reconnecting with something primal and letting that recharge you.

I focus on connecting with nature through practices like sound healing. I lead sound journeys and also sing to help heal and connect with the land.

The third key element is ritual and tradition – living in harmony with the land and following the natural seasons.

This follows Charlotte’s account of taking magic mushrooms, which she says deepened her connection with the natural world.

In a July interview on the BBC Radio 4 podcast, This Natural Life, she discussed how her appreciation for nature has grown as she’s aged.

She explained that her connection with nature really grew after she had children and also after her first experience with magic mushrooms.

After taking magic mushrooms, I felt a profound connection to nature, as if everything around me was communicating directly. It was a completely transformative experience, and once you perceive things this way, it’s impossible to go back to seeing the world as you did before.

Magic mushrooms are hallucinogenic drugs that can change how a person thinks and perceives things. People can consume them by eating them directly or by brewing them into a tea.

Charlotte previously revealed that she first took the drug more than a decade ago.

In an interview with The Skylark, she described taking magic mushrooms for the first time around age 27. She explained that the experience led to a new level of understanding, a more profound and natural connection to the world and its underlying patterns.

Once you experience a genuine connection with someone, it stays with you forever. Since then, I’ve become increasingly fascinated with spirituality – exploring the mysteries beyond what we can see, and finding inspiration in the beauty and strength of the natural world.

My family and I have always lived very limited lives, and that’s been true for generations. When you’re working class, most of your time and effort goes towards just getting by, leaving little room for pursuing passions or enjoying life’s deeper pleasures.
