In the initial glimpse at the much-anticipated action sequel, titled “The Old Guard 2“, Academy Award-winning actress reprises her role as the immortal fighter Andy, also known as Andromache of Scythia. This new chapter sees Andy joining forces once more with her band of indestructible comrades, and they embark on a fresh mission to safeguard the planet with renewed determination. Under the direction of Victoria Mahoney, penned by Greg Rucka, The Old Guard 2 welcomes back Charlize Theron in her role as Andy/Andromache of Scythia, joined by KiKi Layne as Nile Freeman. Also returning are Marwan Kenzari as Joe/Yusuf Al-Kaysani, Luca Marinelli as Nicky/Nicolò di Genoa, Matthias Schoenaerts as Booker/Sebastian Le Livre, Vân Veronica Ngô as Quỳnh, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as James Copley.
In addition to “The Old Guard 2”, Henry Golding from films like “Snake Eyes” and “Another Simple Favor” will be joining the cast as Tuah, an old acquaintance of James Copley’s character played by David Oyelowo. Tuah could potentially hold the key to unraveling the enigma surrounding eternal life. Hollywood legend Uma Thurman, known for her role in “Kill Bill”, is also part of the ensemble.
