Charlize Theron commands attention in a backless satin blouse as she signs autographs for fans while promoting The Old Guard 2 in New York City

On Tuesday, Charlize Theron captivated onlookers with her bold choice of a pink backless blouse while publicizing her upcoming thriller The Old Guard 2 in New York City.

49-year-old Oscar winner dazzled in a stylish halterneck dress, teamed elegantly with black, tailored, wide-leg pants.

Charizle stood taller in an unusual pair of high-heels, complementing her look with petite golden hoop earrings.

With her bobbed, golden hair pulled back into a sophisticated updo, the American celebrity accessorized her look by adding a pair of sunglasses.

Charlize showcased her stunning grin, taking the time to sign memorabilia and snap pictures with admirers while briefly pausing.

The action movie wrapped filming around three years ago but will finally be released in July.

Last year, the movie resumed production following some hold-ups, with Netflix undergoing significant transformations.

At her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party, Charlize shared with Variety last year that the project encountered a snag and our post-production was halted, approximately five weeks into it.

She observed that Netflix underwent significant transformations, and she completely gets it due to all the modifications they were making.

She mentioned: “We’ve resumed working on it, and I must say, I’m thrilled about it. This project is truly exceptional. It holds great significance for us. I was keen on taking it up only if we could create something extraordinary. I have a deep affection for this film.

In June 2022, Uma Thurman and Henry Golding became part of the ensemble for the upcoming superhero sequel. Actors Charlize, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo, and Chiwetel Ejiofor were also announced to be reprising their roles in the production.

Victoria Mahoney has taken over as director for the upcoming sequel, replacing Gina Prince-Bythewood who chose to step away from that position.

In this production, Charlize Theron takes on the main character as warrior Andromache from Scythia, and the narrative is adapted yet again from the comic book series penned by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Leandro Fernandez.

The first movie followed a team of immortal mercenaries on a revenge mission.

Following Charlize’s disclosure that her kids show no regard for her acclaimed acting career, which has earned numerous awards.

Last week, the actress graced Jimmy Kimmel Live wearing a captivating black blazer gown paired with a transparent, long skirt. During the show, she shared insights about her kids’ perspectives on her professional journey.

Charlize’s journey into motherhood started back in 2012 when she adopted her son Jackson, who was then eleven years old, and later welcomed her seven-year-old daughter August into the family in 2015.

However, despite her high-profile status as a prominent movie star and frequent billboard presence, it appears that her kids don’t seem to be swayed or awestruck. In fact, she jokingly mentioned to Jimmy that ‘they have zero respect for me’, when asked if they are impressed by her career.

With a chuckle directed at the crowd, she shared: “I can hardly believe it, but my kids show absolutely no regard for me. It’s astonishing, really.

I generally consider myself quite modest, but occasionally, I can’t help but think that an accolade of great significance is within my grasp.

The audience and Jimmy erupted into laughter as she added: ‘No, they’re so not impressed with me.’

In 2003, Charlize Theron made history by being the first South African to receive an Oscar for acting, specifically the Best Actress award, for her role in the film “Monster.

Yesterday afternoon, while I was fetching my little girl from dance class, we passed by a new Mission Impossible billboard featuring Tom Cruise clinging to what looked like a bright yellow aircraft. She then described the scene.

Additionally, he appeared very stylish, and my children accompanied me during the filming of The Old Guard 2. In the process, I collaborated on an exceptionally detailed sequence involving a highly skilled helicopter pilot named Fred North. Our intention was to orchestrate an awe-inspiring scene together.

As I clung for dear life to the side of that chopper, bullets flying and adrenaline pumping, I felt like I was living out my wildest action movie fantasies. It was as if time stood still, with every second spent hanging off that helicopter counting more than any other in my life. For two grueling weeks, we filmed this sequence, pushing ourselves to the limit, trying to capture the raw intensity of the experience. Each take felt like a battle against gravity itself, and I could almost hear the chopper pilot grumbling beneath his breath, “Get off me, you’re like a ragdoll I can’t shake loose!

Additionally, I found myself exclaiming, “Wow, I achieved that!” It’s truly astounding. Meanwhile, my child yesterday glanced at the poster of Tom Cruise and commented, “That’s peculiar, he seems much more dashing than you did while hanging from that helicopter.

She laughed, adding: ‘I was just like, “but I hung off the helicopter, like just some credit”.’

The action movie is set to launch globally on the streaming service Netflix on July 2, 2025.
