Daredevil‘s Charlie Cox has explained why he wants to be in an Avengers movie.

In anticipation of the release of “Daredevil: Born Again“, the actor portraying Matt Murdock sat down with GQ for a feature interview, where he shared his motivation behind transitioning from Marvel Cinematic Universe series (and a single big-screen appearance) to joining the ensemble movies.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but feel that my chances have never been higher for stepping into the world of Marvel movies. You know, something along the lines of an Avenger, perhaps even a new Spider-Man, or maybe another exciting role!

Here are a few options:

1. There are two main reasons. First, over time, I’ve developed an enthusiastic fondness for the character, and strangely enough, I think it would be quite exciting if he received such an upgrade, purely for the sake of the character.

2. I have a couple of motivations. Initially, my long-term fascination with the character has grown into a sort of geeky fandom. Additionally, I find myself rooting for him to undergo this specific upgrade, not just because it seems cool, but specifically for the sake of the character itself.

3. Let me explain my two factors. Initially, I’ve become quite the fan of the character over the years, and in a peculiar way, I feel that it would be really neat if he were to get this kind of upgrade – all for the sake of the character.

4. To put it simply, there are two reasons driving my thoughts. First, I’ve become quite the fan of the character over time, which has led me to think that an upgrade like this would be really cool, especially considering the character. Secondly, I find myself advocating for this upgrade from a place of attachment and admiration for the character.

I’d be equally thrilled if it could boost my opportunities for landing additional film roles.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly following the saga of Daredevil: Born Again. Unlike some other series, this one didn’t follow a straightforward path. Originally, it was set up differently, but as Cox put it, it’s been quite the rollercoaster ride to get where we are now.

Vincent D’Onofrio (who played Kingpin) and I weren’t entirely sure about the course of action we were taking at that moment, but being loyal troops and dedicated professionals, we were keeping an open mind about it.

After the writers’ and actors’ strikes took place, the producers were given a chance to review our episodes and ultimately concluded that the initial concept wasn’t quite fitting. The revised versions now seem more aligned with the type of content we typically produce on Netflix.

In an unexpected turn of events, the harmful attacks that adversely affected numerous individuals within the industry turned out to be incredibly beneficial for our specific production, as he summarized.

The first three seasons of Daredevil are currently available for streaming on Disney+. The upcoming series titled Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut in the United Kingdom on March 5, and a day earlier, on March 4, in the U.S.
