Charli XCX shared a glimpse behind the scenes of her new music video, which will be included in the upcoming film version of Wuthering Heights.
The 33-year-old Grammy winner has released a new song called “House,” featuring 83-year-old John Cale, a former member of The Velvet Underground.
On Tuesday, she posted some exciting photos to Instagram, sharing them with her eight million followers. She wrote in the caption, ‘I’m obsessed with this song and video! Such a special day <3’
Charli wore a lavender gothic dress, fitting the song and film’s aesthetic, and was pictured sitting on the floor embracing the creative director, Imogene Strauss.
A relaxed photo shows the DJ and John walking together on the music video set.

Charli sported a dramatic black and white fur coat, while the music icon stayed warm in a long black coat.
A photo on the screen displays Charli crawling on a bed, dressed in a black lace dress. Her long, curly hair cascades down her back.
A close-up of the singer appears on another screen, her hair obscuring her face, which helps create the song’s unsettling mood.
Charli shared some behind-the-scenes photos with her fans, including a funny picture of herself making a surprised face with the film crew while looking at the monitor.
The new music video features the singer inside a forest home, with the artist John standing above her as he performs the song’s lyrics.
I was so excited to read that my favorite singer-songwriter actually reached out to a member of The Velvet Underground – the violinist, specifically! She wanted his thoughts on her music, which I think is amazing. It means the world to me that she values his opinion and respects musical history like that.
She said: ‘We got connected and wow… that voice – so elegant, so brutal.

‘I sent him some songs and we started talking specifically about House.’
The artists spoke about recording a poem and eventually John sent a recording for the song.
‘It was… well, it made me cry,’ said Charli.
A new film adaptation of Emily Bronte’s classic novel, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, will be released in theaters next Valentine’s Day. It’s expected to be a bold and passionate take on the story.
Fans hoping for a direct translation of the original story might be surprised by Emerald’s new film. Following the success of her 2023 film Saltburn, she’s expected to bring her signature, visually striking and somewhat shocking style to this project.
Feedback from test screenings last month mirrored these concerns, with some viewers shocked by the film’s opening scene. It depicts a public hanging with highly disturbing and explicit details.
