Charli XCX playfully suggested she’s unlikely to be asked to write a James Bond theme song, joking that she uses too much auto-tune in her music.
The 33-year-old Grammy-winning singer, famous for her electropop sound, recently shared on The Julia Cunningham Show that she doesn’t believe she’d be a good fit for a James Bond film.
She admitted she doesn’t think she’s suited for a James Bond theme song, feeling her voice relies too much on Auto-Tune. However, she didn’t completely rule it out for the future.
I’d be willing to talk if they contacted me, though I doubt they will. I’m not sure it would be a good match anyway. It seems unlikely to move forward at this point, which is… well, okay. I really don’t know what to expect.
The release of British singer’s new film, ‘The Moment,’ which chronicles her influential BRAT era, is coming next month, and fans are eagerly awaiting it.
At the Los Angeles premiere on Thursday, Charli wore a fitted gray corset paired with a black PVC bra and matching hot pants.
She confidently walked the red carpet, playfully showing off with a vibrant, artificial fur shawl while fans enthusiastically cheered her on.
To complete her premiere look, the UK-born star slipped on sheer tights and black heels.
Kylie Jenner accompanied her, showing off her fit stomach in a sleeveless, ruffled top while posing for photos at the Fine Arts Theatre in Los Angeles.
The mother-of-two styled the unique top with a low-rise black maxi skirt made of silky fabric.
Charli’s film, previously called a ‘tour mockumentary,’ debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City over the weekend.
The film chronicles Charli as she prepares for her first major concert tour, delving into both her private life and public image.
Oh my god, it’s just… watching it all unfold is incredible. You see these amazing, raw subcultures, and then, like, the suits swoop in. They’re literally trying to bottle it, to figure out how to make this whole vibe last forever – they actually said they want it to be a ‘brat summer forever’! It’s beautiful and terrifying all at once, seeing something so genuine get…processed. I can’t stop thinking about it.
Kylie plays herself in the satirical movie, which was announced last October.
The trailer, released in December, mixes real concert clips with fictional scenes starring actors Alexander Skarsgård and Rachel Sennott.
At the start of the scene, Charli questions whether the popular phrase “Keep having a Brat Summer!” feels a little awkward or embarrassing.
The slogan seems to be endlessly repeating the word “Brat,” and honestly, they might be onto something. It’s just… frustrating.
It’s really heartbreaking to watch him deal with everything that’s come with being famous. He recently shared how much pressure he feels to constantly come up with something new and exciting, and just to be ‘cool’ – it’s like people expect him to be endlessly groundbreaking, and it’s clearly taking a toll.
Jenner added that you should work even harder when people start to lose interest in you.
The film, The Moment, will be released across the country on February 6th. But fans can see it in certain US theaters starting January 30th with special premiere showings.
The Los Angeles premiere on Thursday was a glamorous event, drawing many of the biggest stars from the music and film industries to the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills.
Currently, the movie ‘The Moment’ is playing in select theaters. It will be available everywhere on February 6th, directed by Aidan Zamiri.
