Charli XCX cast in erotic thriller I Want Your Sex alongside Olivia Wilde – and a Hollywood ‘nepo baby’

Charli XCX will star alongside Olivia Wilde in a new erotic thriller titled I Want Your Sex.
The movie is being helmed by acclaimed queer director Gregg Araki, famous for movies such as The Doom Generation featuring Rose McGowan.
32-year-old chart-topping artist Charlotte Emma Aitchison, known as Charli XCX, is currently basking in a fresh surge of popularity due to her latest album, titled Brat.
The album’s triumph significantly boosted Charli XCX’s fame, propelling her from an under-the-radar pop sensation to a prominent mainstream musician, even though she had already achieved chart-topping songs like “Fancy” with Iggy Azalea beforehand.
Meanwhile, it was previously announced that Cooper Hoffman will also be starring in the film.
The 21-year-old actor is the son of late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died in 2014 at age 46.
40-year-old Wilde, the latest director of the 2022 film “Don’t Worry Darling,” recently crossed paths with Harry Styles, the former One Direction member who was only 26 at the time, during the movie’s production.
She will portray provocateur Erika Tracy, who makes Hoffman’s character Elliot her sexual muse.
According to Variety, the new movie set for release is penned by Araki and Karley Sciortino, with filming scheduled to start in Los Angeles in October.
It has been described as a descent into a world of ‘sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder.’
64-year-old Araki is recognized for his contributions to the New Queer Cinema movement, with his directorial debut happening back in 1987, titled “Three Perplexed Individuals under the Cover of Night.”
Details of XCX’s role have so far been kept under wraps.
