Chappell Roan has ended her relationship with her talent agency, Wasserman, following the public release of emails showing the agency’s founder, Casey Wasserman, corresponded with Ghislaine Maxwell, an associate of Jeffrey Epstein.
The 27-year-old Grammy winner announced on Instagram Monday that she has parted ways with her talent agency, Wasserman, which is headed by Casey Wasserman.
I expect a lot from my team, and I also feel responsible for protecting them. No one working with me – whether they’re an artist, agent, or employee – should ever have to justify or ignore behavior that goes against their personal beliefs, the singer explained.
I’m a huge supporter of the incredible agents and staff who work so hard for the artists they believe in, and I just can’t sit back and do nothing when I see things that need addressing. I feel strongly about standing up for them.
Roan emphasized that artists should have representation which reflects what they believe in and protects their well-being and respect.
I was really moved by her closing statement. She finished by saying that, for her, this decision was all about holding people accountable and having leaders we can actually trust – because that’s what it’ll take to truly improve things in our field. It felt so genuine and hopeful.

This follows a statement to the Daily Mail from 51-year-old Casey Wasserman, the head of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, saying he ‘deeply regrets’ sending explicit emails to Ghislaine Maxwell. The emails detailed topics like ‘massages,’ ‘rubbing,’ and nude activities on the beach.
Recently released Justice Department documents from the Epstein case included emails from 2003 sent by the head of a Los Angeles talent agency.
Wasserman expressed deep regret for emails he exchanged with Ghislaine Maxwell over twenty years ago, before the extent of her crimes was known.
Wasserman stated she has never had a professional or personal connection with Jeffrey Epstein. However, she acknowledged traveling on Epstein’s plane in 2002 as part of a charitable mission organized by the Clinton Foundation, a fact that has been widely reported.
‘I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them,’ he concluded.
Less than two years after marrying Laura Ziffren, Wasserman exchanged suggestive messages with Ghislaine Maxwell. On April 1, 2003, he texted her, ‘Where are you, I miss you. I’ll be in New York for four days starting April 22… can we schedule that massage now?’
Two days later, after a lot of back-and-forth messaging, 64-year-old Maxwell sent a message asking if the other person was sure they could handle the physical contact.

Emails released by the Department of Justice show Maxwell often ended her messages to him with ‘Kisses,’ while he typically signed off with ‘xoxo’.
In a 2003 email, Maxwell responded to Wasserman’s description of Los Angeles’ typically cloudy June weather with an inappropriate reply.
In an email from April 7, 2003, she playfully wondered how foggy it would need to be to walk naked on the beach without being noticed from a distance, adding a lighthearted ‘or something like that…’
On April 6, 2003, Maxwell emailed him, asking if he was interested in receiving a souvenir from Paris, where Maxwell was currently located.
He replied: ‘The only thing that i want from paris is you.’
The following day, Maxwell and she talked about the snacks she might bring back from London.
“So, that pairing didn’t work for you? What kind of pairing would?” she asked. He replied, “Just you and me… not much else.”
Other emails show Maxwell arranging a trip from Los Angeles to New York on his jet.
The Daily Mail previously published a photo of a younger Wasserman with Epstein and Maxwell, taken in front of a private jet. The photo’s date is unknown.
Records from Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet show that Adam Wasserman and his wife traveled with Epstein, Bill Clinton, Kevin Spacey, and Chris Tucker to Africa in 2002 for a charity trip focused on HIV awareness.
There’s no evidence Wasserman was involved in Epstein’s crimes, and the trip to Africa happened before the investigation into his sex trafficking started.
The suggestive messages could cause problems for the head of LA28, especially since he’s already facing accusations of having multiple affairs with employees during his marriage.
In 2024, the Daily Mail reported on years of alleged infidelity, citing information from eleven sources, including several women he reportedly had affairs with.
Sources say Mark Wasserman would lavish attention and expensive gifts – like Louboutin shoes, La Perla lingerie, and even cars – on women he was pursuing. However, once he lost interest, he would abruptly end the relationships and discard them without a second thought.
He faced accusations of having multiple romantic relationships with employees. These included his former secretary, Patricia Feau, who now earns a $350,000 salary at the LA28 Olympic nonprofit, his current girlfriend, Jenny Chandler, who used to be his private jet’s flight attendant, and another flight attendant who has worked for the publisher of Playboy.
Feau denied the affair when contacted by the Daily Mail.
Wasserman did not respond, but later dismissed the allegations as gossip.
