Chappell Roan dons zaniest look yet as Taylor Momsen models X-rated dress at Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction

Chappell Roan and Taylor Momsen definitely turned heads with their bold and striking appearances at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Awards.

Oh my gosh, you would NOT believe who was at the Peacock Theater last night! Seriously, everyone who’s anyone in music was there for the awards. It was absolutely packed with superstars – a total dream come true! I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing all those famous faces in one place!

Cyndi Lauper, OutKast, The White Stripes, Soundgarden, and several other music icons are the newest inductees into the Hall of Fame.

The show features a diverse group of performers, including legendary artists like Elton John, Iggy Pop, and Missy Elliott, as well as today’s biggest stars such as Olivia Rodrigo and Doja Cat.

At the event, 27-year-old Chappell paid tribute to 72-year-old Cyndi with a striking outfit. The look was inspired by Cyndi’s 1986 “True Colors” music video – a song Chappell actually performed as a child during an audition for “America’s Got Talent,” though it wasn’t successful.

Taylor turned heads with a daring outfit, wearing a sheer black lace dress without a bra. The dress beautifully highlighted her slender figure.

Chappell’s skirt was fitted at the waist and flared out, showing off her figure and ending high enough to reveal her legs.

A jeweled headband flowed into a choker necklace with shimmering strands of fringe, giving her a glamorous, showgirl-like look.

Chappell’s top was low-cut, showing a glimpse of her chest, and it was also backless when she turned around.

The singer from Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girls wore her signature bold makeup, including dark lipstick that emphasized her features.

The most striking part of her outfit was her headdress: a large tiara surrounded by a web of wire halos, decorated with saucer-shaped ornaments hanging from chains.

Chappell and Cyndi met outside the event, shortly after Chappell shared a video on Instagram praising her upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

She expressed her excitement about inducting Cyndi Lauper into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, saying Lauper’s style – including her fashion, hair, and makeup – as well as her music, has been a major inspiration to her.

Chappell shared that when she was 13, she auditioned for America’s Got Talent singing ‘True Colors.’ Although she wasn’t selected, she still loves the song.

Taylor, one of the performers at the event, caused a stir on the red carpet by intentionally exposing her nipple.

She wore a delicate black lace dress with no sleeves. The dress was very sheer, revealing what she wore underneath, and flattered her slender figure.

She wore her platinum hair down in loose waves, paired with dramatic smoky eye makeup and a serious, almost brooding expression, creating a gothic-inspired style.

Cyndi embraced classic 1980s style for the event, wearing a jacket that combined the elegance of a tuxedo with playful details like large rhinestones and flowing fringe.

Storm Reid turned heads in a short, stylish cocktail dress with a dramatic neckline, and Raye looked stunning in a dress that featured a fitted bodice and a sheer, netted skirt.

Jack White showcased his distinctive fashion sense, wearing a striking crimson and black blazer paired with a black shirt and a crisp white tie, completed by a black lapel pin.

Salt-N-Pepa – Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton, Cheryl ‘Salt’ James, and DJ Spinderella – posed for a photo with Kid ‘n’ Play – Christopher ‘Play’ Martin and Christopher ‘Kid’ Reid – and Hurby ‘Luv Bug’ Azor, the producer who launched both groups’ careers.

Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, looked incredibly stylish in a textured, light blue suit, and happily posed with a bright smile.

Alanis Morissette wasn’t the only one who chose a sheer dress for the event in Los Angeles, where the weather was surprisingly warm for November.

Brandi Carlile, sporting a striking ringmaster-style jacket, enjoyed a date night with her wife, Catherine Shepherd, right on the red carpet before her performance.

Oh my gosh, and then there’s Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks! They’re not just amazing musicians on their own, but together? Forget about it! They formed this incredible band, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and they’re based right out of Florida. I’m completely obsessed with everything they do!

Lisa Ann Walter wore a blazer-dress with gold stripes over just a bra, creating a revealing look.

Mick Fleetwood, age 78, wore a striking red blazer and top hat, while Kenny Aronoff, 72, displayed his fit physique in a black t-shirt.

Saturday night, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted Chubby Checker, the singer who popularized ‘the Twist’ dance craze in the 1960s.

Bad Company, the popular band from the 1970s, is also being recognized, but their singer, Paul Rodgers, wasn’t at the ceremony. He stated he chose to stay home to focus on his health.

In the last ten years, he suffered two serious strokes and eleven smaller ones. He even had to relearn how to talk and sing after one particularly difficult period.

Soundgarden also lost a key member when their original lead singer, Chris Cornell, tragically passed away in 2017. He rose to fame with the band in the 1980s and was only 52 years old when he died by suicide.

Joe Cocker, the beloved English singer who passed away from lung cancer in 2014 at age 70, will be honored with posthumous induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Warren Zevon, the late singer-songwriter, will be honored with a Musical Influence Award, alongside the iconic hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa, who are still performing today.

Lenny Waronker, a highly respected figure in the music industry, will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award. The award is named in honor of Ahmet Ertegun, the groundbreaking co-founder of Atlantic Records.

Studio bassist Carol Kaye, session pianist Nicky Hopkins, and R&B songwriter and producer Thom Bell will receive the Musical Excellence Award.

I’m so excited about the lineup! You won’t believe who’s performing – Killer Mike, Twenty One Pilots, Brandi Carlile, Sleepy Brown, Beck, Questlove, Flea, Teddy Swims, Maxwell, J.I.D., and even David Letterman! It’s going to be an incredible show.
