Welcome to the exciting world of Chaos Zero Nightmare! This game is a uniquely stylish and deeply strategic RPG. With challenging roguelike elements, engaging deck-building, and stunning visuals, it’s easy to become captivated. However, be prepared – progressing in Chaos Zero Nightmare requires real effort and isn’t always easy.
You don’t have to be a top player or constantly grind to improve! By using smart strategies, you can level up fast, have fun, and avoid getting exhausted.
How to level up quickly in Chaos Zero Nightmare
1. Prioritize Story Missions
In Chaos Zero Nightmare, always prioritize the story missions. They’re free to play – you won’t use any Aether (energy) completing them – and they give you tons of rewards, including experience points, in-game currency, and access to important features like Simulations, Chaos Mode, and the new systems in Ark City.

Progress through the main story as quickly as possible. Each chapter gives you experience points (EXP) and unlocks new features, characters, and items. Eventually, you’ll hit “Promotion Missions” that require you to reach a certain account level (like 35 or 40) before continuing. When that happens, focus on other ways to earn EXP, but until then, the story missions are the most efficient way to level up for free.
2. Spend Aether Wisely
After completing the story missions and earning all the free experience points, concentrate on Aether. Aether is the most important resource you’ll get each day in Chaos Zero Nightmare. Spending just 20 Aether gives you a significant amount of experience, so a full 60 Aether run will provide even more, regardless of how you choose to use it.

While leveling up is important, the biggest benefit comes from what you earn along with experience points, and that’s where Simulations come in. Simulations are special dungeons that give you not only experience, but also key items for improving your characters, such as Potential currency, Promotion items, and character shards. These items are crucial for strengthening your team and tackling more challenging levels.
To get the most out of your stamina, spend all of your daily Aether on Simulation stages. When you’re starting out, prioritize Potential and Promotion simulations – these directly improve your characters’ stats and help them grow. Don’t worry about farming Growth or Memory Fragments too much at first; you’ll earn plenty of those just by playing other parts of the game.
3. Clear Chaos Mode
Chaos Mode is where Chaos Zero Nightmare lives up to its name, offering a tough roguelike experience that combines strategic deck-building, careful risk-taking, and a bit of luck. It’s not the fastest way to earn experience daily, but it’s excellent for getting a large amount of experience all at once and earning great rewards the first time you complete it.

Every Chaos run costs 60 Aether and gives you 1,200 EXP, but the biggest benefits come from completing each difficulty level for the first time. These first-time completions reward you with extra EXP, items to summon new units, and Save Data, which is essential for creating better decks and improving your future runs. Even if you don’t plan on playing Chaos Mode often, it’s worth completing each tier at least once to get those initial rewards.
Try out different combinations of characters and decks to discover what works best and helps you complete runs quickly. Once you find a team that’s really effective, save it as a template so you can easily use it again when you start playing on harder difficulties.
4. Order Food in Ark City
Don’t miss the café in Ark City! It’s a simple way to get an advantage in Chaos Zero Nightmare. Buying food gives you temporary boosts that can really help in battle, like a 5% increase to your Health, Defense, and Attack, plus extra experience points.

As a big fan, I’ve learned it’s really helpful to remember these boosts don’t last forever! I always try to eat something before I jump into really hard levels, boss battles, or when I’m attempting Chaos Mode. If I’m playing for a long time, I’ll re-apply the buffs between sessions just to keep my team at their best. It’s become a little habit of mine, and honestly, it makes a consistent difference!
5. Claim Level Rewards Regularly
Your Captain Level shows how far you’ve come and unlocks valuable rewards as you increase it. Each level gives you things like EXP boosts, materials to improve your team, and currency to summon new characters. Be sure to check the Level Rewards tab often to collect these bonuses – if you don’t, you’ll slow down your progress! It’s easy to forget, but claiming these rewards is a great way to get stronger faster, so make it a habit to check after leveling up a few times.
Final Thoughts
Progressing in Chaos Zero Nightmare requires more than just repetitive gameplay. Success depends on making strategic decisions about how you spend your time. Completing story missions, simulations, and Chaos runs all contribute to your growth. You’ll level up faster by prioritizing free experience, using your energy wisely, and playing consistently every day.
