Chantelle Houghton has revealed she has got a new boyfriend after two years of celibacy. 

Charley Uchea, 42, won Big Brother in 2006 and briefly married singer Preston, 44, after they met on the show. Since then, she’s been in several other well-known relationships.

According to The Sun, she’s now dating someone who isn’t famous.

She explained that the constant public attention her relationships received created difficulties and was a major obstacle for her.

She revealed she’s found love, sharing, ‘My smile probably gives it away – I’ve met someone special. He prefers to stay out of the spotlight, and I’m keeping the details private.’

Chantelle explained she wants to keep her relationship private, saying that her past romances have all been very public.

Before appearing on Big Brother, I had two relationships that were kept out of the public eye. However, looking back, I don’t really consider them full relationships because I was so immature at the time.

After previously stating she’d stopped searching for a partner in 2024 because she hadn’t found anyone she considered a ‘gentleman,’ she recently suggested she might be seeing someone new.

She recently told The Sun that after two years without sex, she feels more powerful, self-reliant, and liberated.

It seems like true romance is a thing of the past, and I’d prefer to be alone than be with someone who treats me badly.

Chantelle also previously dated Katie Price’s ex-partner, Alex Reid, and they have a 13-year-old daughter named Dolly. However, she ended their relationship in 2011 after allegations of infidelity and reports that he had turned their house into a space for sexual activities.

Chantelle previously dated Rav Wilding, the former host of Crimewatch. Their relationship ended in 2012 following a very public and heated argument.

Speaking to The Mirror after the event, the person said, ‘After dedicating six months of your life to someone, you don’t anticipate being treated like that. It was clear to everyone that the behavior was hostile.’

It is believed that she had been single for many years before this romance.

She shared that she’s been single for years and is happily focused on raising her children, especially after a period of very public relationships. She mentioned this in March 2025.

She recently shared with OK! magazine that she hasn’t been in a relationship for a long time, explaining that her personal situation has made it difficult.

I wasn’t pressured into anything, but I was largely on my own while caring for my young daughter.

I don’t believe in being in a relationship just to avoid being alone. I’d honestly rather spend time by myself than be with someone when I’m feeling disconnected, because it’s truly awful to be in a relationship and still feel lonely and unhappy.

Chantelle explained that she’s not currently looking to date, but she’s open to the possibility of meeting someone. She also emphasized that she’s happy being single and doesn’t need a relationship to feel complete.
