Channing Tatum erases poignant last trace of ex Jenna Dewan after nasty drawn-out divorce battle over Magic Mike

Channing Tatum has removed all traces of his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, from social media, signaling a final step after their difficult and prolonged divorce.

Channing Tatum, 45, was seen having a romantic weekend getaway with his girlfriend, Inka Williams, 26, in Costa Rica. The couple were photographed sharing affectionate moments on the beach.

The actor was seen without a shirt while enjoying the water, and it appears he’s had a tattoo removed that he previously shared with his former partner.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan got married in 2009 and celebrated with a honeymoon in Bali. To commemorate their wedding, the couple, who met on the set of ‘Step Up,’ got matching tattoos featuring a quote from their vows.

Tatum got his tattoo on his side, near his ribs, and Dewan chose to have hers on her foot.

But in his latest appearance, the actor’s tattoo, which said ‘Side by side,’ was nowhere to be seen.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Tatum’s representatives for comment.

Channing Tatum revealed in a 2012 interview with People magazine, after being named Sexiest Man Alive, that he and his wife, Jenna Dewan, got matching tattoos while on their honeymoon in Bali.

‘It says, “Side by side.” Mine is here [touches his rib cage], but hers is on her foot.’

Following their honeymoon, he told the publication that the tattoos were ‘a joint decision.

‘We always wanted to get a tattoo of something together.’

We decided against using each other’s names during the ceremony. Instead, we wanted to incorporate something more meaningful and symbolic. We actually took inspiration from a phrase we included in our vows.

In December, the details of Tatum’s and Dewan’s divorce settlement were finally revealed.

Documents filed in court on November 26th revealed how Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan intended to divide their retirement savings as part of their divorce agreement.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always following high-profile splits, and the details of Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum’s divorce continue to emerge. Recent reports show Jenna is entitled to half of Channing’s Screen Actors Guild pension earned during their nine-year marriage, spanning from 2009 to 2018. It’s a common arrangement in these situations, dividing assets accumulated together during the relationship.

Channing Tatum will receive the same share of Dewan’s pension benefits from the Screen Actors Guild producers’ plan for the same amount of time.

This decision settles a disagreement between Tatum and Dewan over the profits from his popular 2012 movie, Magic Mike. Dewan had argued she was entitled to half of those earnings.

Though they finalized their divorce agreement in September 2024, the specifics weren’t made public until a recent court document was released.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan first met and began their relationship while filming the 2006 movie ‘Step Up,’ where they both starred as the main characters.

The couple tied the knot in 2009, and they later welcomed a daughter, Everly, in 2013.

Tatum and Dewan announced their separation and ended their marriage in April 2018.

Dewan filed for divorce in October, and the divorce was finalized in November 2019.

The divorce continued for years, largely because of disagreements over the money Tatum earned from the movie Magic Mike.

The actor starred in and produced the film, directed by Steven Soderbergh. Matthew McConaughey, Olivia Munn, and Joe Manganiello also appeared in the movie.

Despite being made with a surprisingly low budget of only $7 million, the film was a success with both critics and viewers, earning over $167 million at the box office, as reported by Box Office Mojo.

Dewan argued in court that she deserved half of her ex-husband’s earnings from the movie, stating it was funded using money they earned during their marriage. However, Tatum’s lawyers disagreed with this claim.

Before finalizing their divorce, Dewan claimed her ex-husband’s lawyers hadn’t provided all the financial details about the movie Magic Mike, as reported by Us Weekly.

Okay, so things were really tense! Apparently, there was this huge potential blow-up because Steven Soderbergh and Steve Kazee – you guys, Steve Kazee, my future husband, basically – were both possibly going to be called to testify in court. I mean, can you imagine?! It was like a disaster waiting to happen, honestly. I was so worried something would go wrong with both of them being involved!

In August 2024, Tatum claimed his ex-wife was intentionally slowing down their divorce proceedings. He stated in legal documents that he had tried very hard to resolve all issues privately, without going to court.

According to Page Six, he stated that he’s made many offers to settle, participated in several mediations, and his lawyers have written numerous drafts of potential court orders, all in an attempt to resolve issues with Dewan.

According to Tatum, although we’ve addressed certain problems, the major financial concerns in this case are still outstanding. This is because Dewan keeps postponing a resolution and repeatedly offers new reasons why the case can’t be settled.

He also said in court filings that he did not believe Dewan was owed spousal support.

Channing Tatum’s popular film, Magic Mike, was followed by an equally successful sequel, Magic Mike XXL, released in 2015. Tatum not only starred in the second movie but also helped produce it.

In 2023, the third and final Magic Mike movie, titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance, was released. It came out several years after Channing Tatum’s divorce, but critics weren’t very impressed and it didn’t do well at the box office.

Beyond the three Magic Mike movies, the franchise expanded to include a live stage show in Las Vegas and a reality TV series.

Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee have been together since late 2018 and became engaged in February 2020. They have two children: a son named Callum, born in March 2020, and a daughter named Rhiannon, born in June 2024.

After his divorce, Channing Tatum began dating British singer Jessie J. Their relationship lasted from 2018 to 2020.

Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz started dating in 2021 and became engaged in 2023. He then starred in Kravitz’s first film as a director, the thriller Blink Twice, but they ended their engagement and broke up later that same year.

Tatum has most recently been dating the model Inka.
