Channing Tatum brings daughter, 12, he shares with ex Jenna Dewan to premiere on rare public outing

On Tuesday in Los Angeles, Channing Tatum had a less common appearance in public with his 12-year-old daughter, Everly Tatum.

At the unveiling of the movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, a 45-year-old actor and his daughter, born from his relationship with ex-wife Jenna Dewan (age 44), were spotted. The event took place at the TCL Chinese Theater.

In the English adaptation of the movie, the actor hailing from Cullman, Alabama lends his voice to the character Keizo.

During the show at the prestigious movie theater known as Channing, he wore a navy blue suit paired with an off-white shirt and black dress shoes.

Everly donned a satin light blue gown with ruffles, wearing her blonde locks down and parted.  

Channing recently said that he found it difficult to impress Everly with his catalogue of films.

At the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, during an interview with E News!, the high-profile actor commented that while Everly has watched numerous of his movies, she appears to show little interest in them.

He noted that his daughter expressed disinterest in watching his films, saying something along the lines of, “Oh well, I don’t feel like it.

Channing added, ‘She acts like she doesn’t care … I’m never gonna be cool to her.’

In the transition from summer to autumn, Tatum has been quite occupied, actively promoting several significant projects he’s currently developing.

In a conversation with Variety recently, he disclosed the pain he went through following his separation from Dewan that officially ended in 2024, marking the end of a six-year legal struggle.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can relate when things don’t go as planned. I once found myself in a situation similar to Jenna and me, where our connection faced an unexpected end. It was a challenging time, particularly given our youth. However, with the passage of time, we’ve managed to navigate through it and find ourselves on a positive trajectory now.

For more than a year, we held on, but deep down, we realized things weren’t working out. Let’s leave the details behind; they belong to the past.

In his comments post-divorce, he expressed, “It’s incredibly challenging to only see my daughter half the time. I genuinely yearn for the opportunity to have her with me always.

First encounters between Tatum and Dewan were made while filming the 2006 movie Step Up. They became engaged two years later in 2008, ultimately getting married on the 11th of July, 2009 in Malibu, California.

On April 2, 2018, Tatum and Dewan announced their separation, stating that they had fallen deeply in love many years prior and had enjoyed an enchanting journey as a couple.

As a devoted admirer, I want to express that our bond’s core remains unaltered – the depth of our affection continues to be as profound as ever. However, I must acknowledge that the journey of love sometimes leads us down separate paths. Yet, this beautiful adventure still holds immense promise and discovery for both of us.

According to Dewan and Tatum, their decision to separate wasn’t due to any hidden issues or scandalous events. Instead, they felt it was necessary to give each other some distance so they could focus on living their happiest, most fulfilling lives.

They emphasized that they remain a family and continue to show love and dedication as parents towards Everly.
